TOUR DESCRIPTIONOur Tucson trip planner makes visiting Tucson Bike Tours and other Tucson attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
Get rolling and pedal the Old Pueblo! A day spent riding with Tucson Bike Tours is definitely the best way to see a variety of historical sights and experience the modern day energy that Tucson exudes.
Starting in the fun and centrally located 4th Avenue Shopping District, cruise your way through the best sections of Tucson's historic neighborhoods, including:
Iron Horse - While riding across a bridge that looks like a rattlesnake, spot the train tracks that transformed Tucson from a village into a city.
Presidio - This is where so much began: ancient Hohokam settlements, Tucson's first structures, and the birthplace of the chimichanga!
Armory Park - Where else will you find Leo Tolstoy, Gandhi, and Cesar Chavez hanging out together?
Barrio Viejo - Sleepy streets, colorful adobe homes, and facinating shrines.
Barrio Kroeger Lane - Get a closer look at "A" Mountain and the Santa Cruz river, which is the real reason why Tucson even exists.
Barrio Anita - Stop at a little neighborhood joint famous for its amazing tortillas.
Dunbar Springs - Visit sculptures and murals placed within the community by the community. That's art at its best!
West University - See where an infamous gangster met his end and where an important scientific field began.
Before you know it, you'll wind up right back where you started. When you are active, time goes fast! After packing so much into a 3 to 3.5 hour tour, discussing your day over a beverage is usually in order. After peddling about 12 miles at a relaxed pace, you'll be pretty hungry too. The tour ends near some of the best restaurants and bars in Tucson.
The tour includes an individually fitted bicycle, helmet, high visiblity aid, water, and, of course, a friendly and knowledgable guide. Just show up ready to ride. Immerse yourself in the distinct historic neighborhoods of Tucson!
Departure Times: 9:00am and 1:30pm

This is a very fun way to see the city of Tucson, Arizona! We learned some interesting facts about the city and area. Jimmy must have incredible patience and perseverance to do 3 of these tours a day! Although he was friendly enough, other reviews possibly raised our expectations above what we should've anticipated. He was a little short at times and wasn't as careful with the group's safety as we would've expected. He did show us some neat things, but we expected him to be a bit friendlier. This is still a neat thing to do in Tucson, though! Definitely suited for most bikers. Very flat terrain.
Great lil tour. Awesome way of getting to know Tucson. Highly recommend to do it early in your trip to Tucson so you get oriented and know where to visit. Jimmy will point out some popular spots and his favorites, (thanks for the heads up on Exo Coffee!). Some good photo ops. The tour is pretty mild in terms of physical activity (for me), there are only 3 very mild climbs, but even in winter I got a lot of sun.
Had a great time with Jim and our group. It was a very do-able ride for those of us who are out of shape! Great way to see downtown Tucson and hear about history.
Great experience on a cool January morning. Jim was great: friendly, knowledgable, fun, and safe. The route was easy, mostly flat, and took us through a nice section of the city. Highly recommend.
Great way to see Tucson. Guide, Jim, is very knowledgeable and fun. Got to see many great sites in downtown and in the surrounding eclectic neighborhoods. We even got fresh empanadas at a great bakery. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore Tucson.
