  • Great plaza full of shops and places to eat. But I love going on the weekends Food In Root holds farmers markets there every morning. The family loves to go get vegetables talk to the farmers and get something to eat from some off the vendors. There are amazing tamales and churros sold there. Plus you can find the most decadent cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, brownies, macaroons, croissants and other pastries. Also, you must try the best chips and salsa you've ever had and there's still so much more. This place is bustling with friendly people it's dog friendly and has a shaded walk way. There are places to sit and fresh cut green grass throughout which is nice to see in Arizona.
  • At the Union. We sat ourselves right by the extra loud DJ after attending the U of A graduation. The music selection would have been great had it not had a techno beat on every single song! Maybe I'm just getting old, my parents were troopers also though, they are 80! We would have sat outside had we known how close to the DJ booth we actually were. (they were on break) The food & drinks were good!
  • We ate at Reforma for a graduation reunion and were expecting good things because of a great time we had at Union. It was$30 plate for what you would pay $6 on the south side. Waiters wouldn't serve you water, or food. The food was mediocre and everyone left afterward to eat somewhere else. Some things at St. Phillips are great, "Union" other things are not "Reforma."
  • The restaurants/bars are varied in both atmosphere and price, allowing any one that stops in the plaza what they prefer. The Homewood Suites we use at work for candidates and remote workers to reside as needed and service is great. The olive oil store is amazing in its variety for any cook! The weekly exercise on Wednesdays is great for Seniors and the weekend markets are fun!
  • Great Saturday Farmers Market!!! Please don't forget to visit the Horchata/Churros Inzunza vendors(mom and daughter). They make awesome Horchata made with coconut which makes for a light and refreshing beverage and perfect for Arizona summer blazes. The churros are good, very traditional. The Betel Chiltepin salsa guy is a great also. He gives good samples of healthy chips (made of beat) and with salsa made with simple ingredients. He also has tortillas.
