Experience life in the Old West at Old Tucson by strolling down the streets fit for a town from 1853 to 1912. Films like "El Dorado" were shot here, as well as several episodes of the TV show "Little House on the Prairie." Living history demonstrations and saloon dancers bring the town to life, or for more of the movie aspect, take in a stunt show. Tour the studios to get a better picture of specific aspects of life in the Old West, like the demands on the town sheriff, or the danger of rail travel. Don't miss your chance to dress up in Western attire and have your photo taken. • From horseback riding to old west shows, there seems to be enough to keep mine and my family's attention for a few hours on a weekend. There is a lot of potential here which is probably lost since Old...  read more »
  • This is a fun place to visit with old west reenactments and shows and special events. Some authentic memorabilia, but not what it used to be before the fire.
  • If only the walls could talk! We loved walking through this historic piece of time where John Wayne and others filmed so many movies. We were there during the Halloween timing so there were other thin...  read more »
  • I stayed at tanqueverde ranch 2 years ago, it was a dream come true to be near horses even though I can't ride. I went to old Tucson the long ride there was stunning the cactus were beautiful. Arizona would be my dream destination to live, if I was 40 years younger. Susan london
  • We attended Memorial Day 2016. This would have been a 5 star review except for the last encounter of the day. First the good, our grandchildren enjoyed themselves very much especially the train, cars, and the show by the mission. Now the bad, the whole experience was positive except the sheriff office presentation at 4 PM which had been advertised as a time for the children to earn their sheriff's badge. After 30 minutes of story telling there was no indication the children in the room would ever get a badge. Now the ugly, at about 25 minutes after 4 PM the sheriff telling the story started to get very graphic as to what the bullets fired at the OK Corral did to the victims. I started trying to get my grand kids out the door when the story teller told exactly in every detail what a 12 gauge sawed off shot gun did to the man Doc Holiday shot. Please there were 12 kids in the room. If he worked for me, I would have fired him on the spot, instead I hustled the grand kids out the door. And yes we did have some questions to handle later. So my advice is avoid the story teller in the Sheriffs Office.
  • Great piece of local histor. Very family friendly. Lots of shows all day long. Don't miss the stunt show, it's the best. Loaded with his Troy, and some fun free rides for the kids.
  • We were completely impressed with Old Tuscon! ALL of the employees were wonderful...attentive, informative, and engaging. Plus the multitude of educational shows and tours was simply perfect. We were thrilled to visualize how the area would be used in the making of movies, and the setting and scenery was very nice. But the staff and care given to customer service really set it apart. Bravo!
  • The scenery is majestic. The beer is cold and the days are hot. Come see the wild west shows!
