Old Tucson, Tucson
(3.8/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Experience life in the Old West at Old Tucson by strolling down the streets fit for a town from 1853 to 1912. Films like "El Dorado" were shot here, as well as several episodes of the TV show "Little House on the Prairie." Living history demonstrations and saloon dancers bring the town to life, or for more of the movie aspect, take in a stunt show. Tour the studios to get a better picture of specific aspects of life in the Old West, like the demands on the town sheriff, or the danger of rail travel. Don't miss your chance to dress up in Western attire and have your photo taken. • Went to Nightfall @ Old Tucson. The whole park becomes a haunted town. Scary fun suitable for all ages (tho' not the faint-hearted). Plenty of good food and lots to see & do. During the rest of the year, it's a neat step back in time. Lots of famous movies were filmed here in the studio's heyday. Neat history and cool "wild west" shows.
  • We only spent 3 hours at Old Tucson, and would love to have spent at least another 3 hours. A short tour of the old movie location was very informative. And if you are a fan of the old westerns, make sure to see the museum near the front entrance. Many stories and original costumes (Dan Blocker!) from your favorite movies and television westerns are on display. The 'Iron Door Mine Adventure' is mostly for children, but the 'Old West Stagecoach' will show you first hand what it was like to ride an old, noisy stagecoach.
  • relax man im just tryna grab some nutz
  • I stayed at tanqueverde ranch 2 years ago, it was a dream come true to be near horses even though I can't ride. I went to old Tucson the long ride there was stunning the cactus were beautiful. Arizona would be my dream destination to live, if I was 40 years younger. Susan london
