Voted Tucson's Best Visual Artist five times, Diana Madaras says painting "fills me with joy." She is equally well known for her bold, colorful artwork as for her generous charitable giving. Madaras owns two galleries in Tucson, Arizona that feature her work exclusively, and is president of the nonprofit Art for Animals Foundation.Madaras is a colorist who celebrates the subtle, natural beauty of ordinary scenes in a way that is both intense and dramatic. She paints in both watercolor and acrylic and has a diverse portfolio - from brilliant desert landscapes to expressionistic portraits.A signature member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, Madaras has been featured in a dozen one-woman shows and her art has hung in the Tucson Museum of Art. Much in demand for commissioned artwork, Madaras has completed paintings for Westin, Loews, and Miraval resorts.

  • The Madaras Gallery is the very best place to visit for art work. Diana's artistic style accentuates any decor style. Her floral pieces have bold pops of color, and her southwest paintings/prints brin...  more »

  • Our new home in Tucson needed a special central piece of art. My husband and I narrowed it down to a beautiful Madaras cactus painting. When we picked it up we were delighted to see so many other stunning pieces of art in their store / gallery. We left with a variety of gifts and art. Customer service was excellent. We returned twice for more treasures. Our Sunday morning visit even included being served mimosas and snacks! This is a beautiful place to stop, whether enjoying the museum or looking for art to purchase. Be sure to visit the Madaras Gallery!
  • We own several of Diana’s original paintings. They truly make our house “home” while reminding us of our many good times visiting Arizona. Diana and her team are the best. A can’t miss when you are in Tucson.
  • This art gallery is a gourmet of beauty to your eyes! Everywhere you turn there is something different that catches your eye and delights you! If you aren’t in the market for a large painting, they have smaller prints. There are a big variety of gift items, from cards, notepads, mugs, nightlights, kitchen items, cellphone covers and more! Diana and her staff are eager to assist you in any way at all possible. Don’t miss visiting Madaras Gallery, if you are any where in the vicinity. You will be pleased with what you find there!
  • Nice place. There's a range of prices from lower budget to high. Also nice people who work there. I'm glad I talked my Dad into checking it out. We did have to travel a bit from where we were, but we both got a smaller print of a painting & made some good memories along the way. Some beautiful works not only by D.Madaras, but other artists as well.
  • I bought a triptych of First Light after the gallery allowed me to take it home to see how it would look in my home before making a decision. Of course it looked fabulous! The people in the gallery are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. I highly recommend stopping by for a Sunday mimosa surrounded by beauty.
