Northstar California provides an abundance of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. You can try your hand at golf, hiking, cycling skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. During the ski season the resort uses snowmaking machines to provide adequate cover on the slopes. The lifts stay open year-round to transport skiers as well as mountain bikers. The resort has shops where you can purchase and rent equipment for various activities, or you can schedule lessons for beginners. Away from the slopes, the resort offers movie theaters, restaurants, play areas, spa services, and other amenities. You can purchase seasonal passes and make lodging reservations online.   • I was in the area for a conference. The conference rooms sold out at the Ritz Carlton so extra rooms were arranged at Northstar Timber Creek Lodge Lofts. My only complaint was that the Highlands Gondo...  more »
  • Big area to explore - our favorite was the Ritz - you have to go inside but it isn't cheap had to pay to park and had a some wine but what a place. Would love to stay there some day!  more »
