If you like riding park, get to Boreal Mountain Resort. They have the best parks, from small to big. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cant beat that!

Great place for beginners. They have a great park section for those who are into that. For experts/intermediates trails get boring pretty quick. That being said, still a great place to shred with friends!
Great place to visit with family. Takes a while to get set with rental gear, but well worth it. Slopes were clean and well maintained. Cafe and bar provide views of the mountain for those who wish to spectate.
I went with a school and the accommodations are nice the staff were all very courteous and helpful. Check in was a little slow but now that we are in the system next time will be quick. The runs are nice and the lift operators are all helpful and right on it when someone needed help. I will be back again several times before the end of the season and maybe even try snowboarding.
I've to Boreal two times. Its a good place for kids and beginners. The lessons are much less than Northstar. THEY HAVE TUBING AREA THAT COSTS ABOUT 40 A TICKET, BUT YOU GET TO RIDE UP THE MOUNTAIN ON A MECHANICAL STRIP AND THAN SLIDE DOWN. WOODWARD LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY IS FOR ACTIVE KIDS WHO LIKE TO JUMP ON TRAMPOLINES, WALLS , AND RIDE RAZORS. THIS JUST TO SPEND THE DAY IS 45 DOLLARS. ANOTHER 25 DOLLARS IF YOU WANT TO RENT A RAZOR FOR YOUR CHILD. THE FOOD IS OKAY. FRIED CHICKEN, PIZZA, FRIES, ETC.. FOR A COKE, 3.5 DOLLARS. WHICH REMINDS ME OF DISNEYLANND. ON BUSY DAYS, THE CHARGE 20 BUCKS FOR PARKING. FREE ON NON BUSY DAYS. THE LIFT TIX IS 64 DOLLARS FOR ALL DAY. THE SKI RENTAL IS ANOTHER 40 DOLLARS. AS FOR SERVICE, IT'S HIT OR MISS. THE PLACE IS RUN BY KIDS/SNOW DOGS. YOU MIGHT GET A NICE WOKER AND LATER, GET A RUDE ONE. ITS ABOUT LUCK, 50/50. MY KIDS ARE YOUNG AND THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. BUT IF YOU HAVE NO KIDS, IT'S REALLY NOT THAT GREAT B/C MT. ROSE OR HOMEWOOD ARE BETTER OPTIONS. GOOD LUCK.
We rented equipment (ski/shoes) and also took beginner's lesson from them. We had to wait to get equipment since there was a long line. Other than that, equipment was of decent quality and worked fine during skiing. Lesson did not work out as expected since our instructor was missing for 45 mins and when he showed up he was really impatient.
