  • Well, Boreal's nickname is BoringHill. Name says it all. It's definitely a beginner hill but they do have a good terrain park and snow boarders seem to like it. They also have night skiing which is co...  more »
  • I learned to ski here 40 years ago. Much improved over the years and still a bargain. Ski on week days if you can.  more »
  • We went here on Thursday, April 20 and my 5 year old did a 2-hour ski lesson for $94 plus $10 for a helmet and had such a good time (even though it was cold that day) that we came back on Friday. She ...  more »

  • Affordable place to ski plus they offer night skiing which is a blast if you haven't tried it. Good place to buy lunch...but bring your wallet it's gonna cost you. New Salad Bar with lists of veggies. Reasonable prices for both private and group ski or snowboarding lessons. Very knowledgeable coaches. Also Boreal offers starting at the beginning of the season a kids ski club. Google Auburn Ski Club it's 10 weeks and if you kid is just starring or proficient by the end of the season you will see a huge improvement.
  • Great slopes, but the food really needs to be updated. I get that french fries & hot dogs sell, but the resort needs to pole it's guests to see how many people would appreciate healthier options. Fresh food costs the same or is cheaper than fried. I bet since most of the guests enjoy being active, they would prefer more foods that you could find at Whole Foods & Trader Joes
  • Boreal Mountain is by far the most fun mountain that Tahoe has to offer. There is never a dull day as the resort offers so many different activities. From a world class terrain park to the amazing Woodward facility, Boreal Mountain has it all. Boreal is the easiest mountain to access as it is right off of highway 80, and parking is never an issue because they have so much of it! If you haven’t checked out Boreal while you are in Tahoe you have been doing it wrong. Don’t forget about their “Feel Good Friday” either. Get up their fellow shredders and ENJOY!
  • Great spot for a toddler to learn how to ski. The instructors here are wonderful and really take care of the kids. The main lodge could be slashed and burned but it has the essentials. Appears that the new owners are not putting any money into the place to make it look nice. The lodge food is decent. The rice bowls are quite the bargain and can easily be shared with 2 adults and a child. During the ski season, there is the typical madness of the rental shop and trying to find some place to sit down and eat but it all seems to work out.
  • Great smaller resort. The staff makes some great park areas to ride and are always friendly. Only downside is the shorter runs the mountain has. Makes this park a perfect option for newer riders, especially since lift tickets are significantly less than other Tahoe resorts, but not as good for experienced riders. Still love this place!
