  • As a Social Chair Member of the University of Nevada, Reno Winter Sports Club, I have nothing but good things to say about Boreal Mountain Resort. Simply put, Boreal is the perfect place for many types of skiers and boarders! Compared to other Tahoe ski resorts, Boreal offers more beginning terrain, cheaper lift tickets, and fun on-mountain events. Did I mention that they are home to Woodward at Tahoe? This is the only place one can head out on the mountain, take some runs, then head to the Woodward warehouse to jump around on trampolines, try new tricks in the foam pit, and skateboard in the indoor park, all in one day! If you are an advanced park skier/rider, then you're already aware of the crazy features they build frequently throughout the season. In addition, the mountain offers the best night skiing coverage and is open from 9am-9pm everyday. Fridays are the day to head to the resort if you are military or a college student since they offer $15 dollar tickets (can't beat that). Overall, Boreal is a place to find good snow, and good times
  • I love Boreal Mountain! It's a little mountain that offers a lot of fun. From the massive indoor Woodward Tahoe facility, to the best terrain park I have ever rode my snowboard in, Boreal has it all. The foam-pits and trampolines inside let you learn new tricks and take them straight out to the snow. Even when I don't feel like learning anything new it's awesome to be able to go inside and escape the cold on the trampolines or on my skateboard. I love the small mountain vibes, and the price is excellent. Especially if you are a beginner, there is no need to pay huge prices for lift tickets when you are just learning! Also love that they are the first to open and last to close every year so I get as much time on the mountain as possible.
  • Boreal is the best! I work in Truckee Monday-Friday and love being able to drive up the hill and get some runs in at night. The sunsets here are unbelievable and there is terrain here for every level of rider. Definitely try to make it up on a Friday for Feel Good Fridays. Part of your pass cost goes to local organizations and there are fun activities like karaoke and photo-booths!
  • Boreal is the best! It's the only resort in Tahoe that I know will always be fun. Even on a bad snow year they make magic happen and keep the park creative and fun! Plus, being able to ride at night is so much fun and makes it easy to get some turns in even with a busy schedule. Parking is close and easy, too. This place rules.
  • Boreal is a great mountain for beginners learning how to ride, intermediates hitting their first jumps or experts who live and breathe in the terrain park and in the trees. This mountain has it all, including $15 Friday deals for college students! It is conveniently the closest mountain to the Bay Area and the employees always have a great attitude. I love this resort and can't wait for the upcoming season!
