Visited on museum day live. Was late for planetarium show. However to see all the exhibits and fine arts collection it was amazing. Reading earlier reviews I thought it would be average but the museum... read more »
What you would expect from a state government Museum. Especially liked the art museum and they actually had a Warhol. There is a planetarium attached and it was nice to end the visit with a show.
One of the cities best gems...Plan a day downtown Trenton and take in all the history it has to offer
As a free museum, you can't beat it. We were there too late in the day to visit the planetarium. We spent just about an hour there, but could have easily spent more time. There are 3 floors to the museum with something for everyone. There are interactive exhibits for children.
It was a nice museum but I wouldn't go out of my way to get there. I expected more of a higher quality of the antiquities. I felt it was sparse and lacking pizzazz. The staff was very nice.
Not so appealing and happening museum. Little but good collection for NJ history. Planetorium is okay.
Had a great two hours with a toddler. Really family friendly. Didn't try the planetarium but there were plenty of interactive exhibits and the discovery zone is a perfect break for a rambunctious little one. Bravo to the think tank running the center, we are excited to see what plans are in store for level two and we will definitely be back soon!
The planetarium is all that made this worth drive from the Deptford area. I took my son, my Goddaughter and her son and nephew. Not a lot of fossils but some to make it interewring. Since I'm closer to Philly the Natural Science museum there and the one in Delaware are much better options. If I lived within 15 minutes of this I'd go but only for the planetarium show. Won't be back again it's ok but not great
