  • REasonable pricing for a nice trip. Someone was there to help us get started and review maps with us.  more »
  • My father and I wanted to rent bikes for a day, and our resort was literally across the street so this seemed like the best option. The owner was outside as we approached; he entered the building ahead of us without acknowledging us or even smiling. We told him we'd like to rent two bikes for the day. He expressed surprise given the weather (it had rained earlier in the day, but was at this point clearing out). He said he wouldn't rent the bikes to us because with potential storms he "didn't want anyone to get hurt." A little surprised, we stepped outside, looked at the weather, and my dad went in one last time, pointing out that the sky was clearing. The owner again refused, saying more storms were coming according to the weather report he was watching on his computer, and no, he would not rent us the bikes at the moment even if we wanted to use them later in the day. Rude, never cracked a smile, seemed annoyed that we were there. No more storms approached for the remainder of the morning. The next day, we called Endless Summer rentals although the weather was similarly mixed sun and clouds. They delivered the bikes within a half hour, free delivery, and the prices were cheaper. We spent $30 rather than $50 at Treasure Isle Boat Rentals, and had much better customer service. Won't bother going back to this place with apathetic management that wouldn't' do business with us.
  • I saw a lot of poor reviews and after reading them was able to find that most issues stemmed from being restricted to where you can navigate and the fact that rental boats must stay inside the intercoastal versus heading out to open Gulf waters. If you travel up and down the coast you will find the same rules at all rental places for this size of the craft. It is not the owner but rather the safety rules set by Coast Guard regulations to keep you safe. I have rented from Jeff at Treasure Island Rentals on multiple occasions in the past and always had great experiences on each encounter. If you call and tell them what you want to do before you show up they will tell you, yes or no, it is not up to them to change or modify the rules based upon what or why you want to do it. If you want to spend a great day on the water, tubing, swimming and playing in the water and sun with your family then this is the place you need to go. They have good equipment, great service and will get you exactly what you are looking for. If they tell you to stay in a channel in an area then, by all means, stay in the channel, Florida coastal areas have lots of low water spots and the last thing you want is to damage an $800 prop and put the boat out of service. I love to take my boat out and over to Egmont Key out in the open waters at the mouth of Tampa Bay, an amazing place. But you have to know the waters and they can be dangerous to small craft rental boats and are not permitted, know that before you go. Otherwise a great rental location in some beautiful waters.
  • Reasonable rates, safe and comfortable boat, courteous and friendly staff (owner?). We would have liked to go a little further north on our journey, but we still had a great time.
  • I went here for my dads birthday a few months ago. It was my first time renting a boat, and it was a great time. We got the pontoon? boat and it fit around 8 people with PLENTY of extra space, we had an amazing time going all around the intercoastal and checking out John's Pass. Very friendly owner/employee and extremely affordable/fun day for a family. Would tell everyone about it.
  • Very good place. The best price in the area and the nicest administration. Very accommodating and helpful and professional.
