  • This was a very interesting building to view. The shops and restaurants give a very good variety to chose from. I would suggest you visit and check out the history as well.  more »
  • It is a great place to visit. I highly recommend the private tour. The history of the village is so profound. And they way they are restoring it and filling it with useful businesses and restaurants a...  more »
  • Main purpose was to meet someone for lunch, but the buildings were really interesting, and the history of the facility was fascinating. Way ahead of its time in their approach to mental health, pretty...  more »

  • I always love visiting the old asylum grounds. It's just brilliant what they're doing with the old buildings. They've turned something with a controversial past in to something absolutely beautiful. There are lots of incredible shops, and restaurants. I highly recommend visiting Higher Grounds Coffee, and walking the halls of the main market building to see some art, and learn about the building a little.
  • Love visiting the Village, especially during winter when you get a bit stir crazy with all the snow and old weather. Its fun to come here and visit the shops and grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. They have a top notch Furrier in residence here as well. I got a scarf made from Jack Rabbit fur, absolutly love it! So soft and warm.
  • Great place! So much to choose from, no matter what you're looking for. The city and the Minervinis really outdid themselves with the ongoing development here. I'm in and out of the Munson Professional Building (business - I'm not that sick), so I buzz through here regularly. Safe walking/biking trails along with a boardwalk that goes past the community garden and Botanic garden. The beer at the Earthen Ales is very good, and the owners are very friendly. I'd say my favorite food stop is the Spanglish Cafe. Friendly folks who know their Mexican food. Be sure to ask for the homemade hot sauce!
  • This covers a lot of individual businesses ranging from bakeries, winery, coffee *(Higher Grounds Trading being the absolute best anywhere including Seattle)* restaurants, and other shops. You can easily spend a day here just walking and shopping. Pleasant parks are around. Next to Munson Hospital complexes. Parking is tricky.
  • So unique and special. Its amazing that someone saw a vision so long ago of its future, and we are so glad they did. It may have had a strange past but the story has a beautiful end. Go visit, explore, and be amazed!
