Where to stay in Traverse City

Most accommodations in Traverse City lie near the waters of Grand Traverse Bay. The West Arm of the bay is closer to businesses and services in and around downtown. The portion of Traverse City on the East Arm of the bay remains quieter. Both areas offer hotels and bed and breakfasts with convenient access to the beach. Many visitors opt to stay in vacation rentals, including lakeside cottages and houses, which you'll also find here.

  • We had such a great time! Our tour was so informative and we had a great conversation with Lacey, one of the distillers, about what they are doing and how they are different from other area distillers, as well as the more traditional places down in Kentucky. The tasting was delicious....I would recommend the chocolate vodka with some simple syrup added to it. It was ah-mazing. Wishing I had gotten the chipotle vodka and McClure's Bloody Mary mix, but I will just have to check my local liquor store too see if they have it. :-)
  • Was lucky enough to be able to take a tour with just my friends, so a group of only four people. There isn't a ton to see, but our guide was friendly and well-informed, and we also got to talk to one of the distillers for a bit. Like most craft distillers, it isn't the cheapest product, but most of what I sampled was very good.
  • Awesome tasting. Great tour and free tasting glasses. I love the cherry whiskey. Top notch Michigan company.
  • Usually stop whenever my wife and I are in traverse city. Liqueur is very good. Not the best show room but hey they're a very small distillery and I'll take quality spirits over a high prices show room anytime.
  • Great selection with exceptional quality. You can tell there is dedication and passion involved with manufacturing of these spirits.
