  • Four of us had a wine tasting with 5 varieties. The staff were more interested in preparing for a group event than discussing the wines with us. Wines were not the caliber of some of the other peninsu...  read more »
  • Delicious wines but even better cider. No more will the main stream ciders work for me. We were greeted and served by an attentive bartender named Kevin who served us wine with a side of history of th...  read more »

  • I cannot say enough good things about the winery experience. The ciders are amazing. Max made the experience way better than any other winery we've been to in Michigan.
  • I cannot say enough about this place. The staff were fantastic, everyone was so friendly, informative, and engaging. The wine was fantastic. The grounds were gorgeous. They have several settings throughout the grounds where you can enjoy a glass amongst the grapes. Once again, if you enjoy a winery with a friendly and engaging staff, and an outstanding ambiance, this place is for you! Thank you Bowers Harbor. You're doing it right.
  • Friendliest of all the Old Mission wineries, in my opinion. Attentive (they'd run out of the pear cider I'd wanted, so they found a bottle to crack open for me!) and dog-friendly, too! The wines are pretty good as well.
  • My husband and I went on a private wine tour for our anniversary. Our first stop was BHV, and we could have ended our tour there! Super great staff, fun crowd, and wonderful atmosphere! Our favorite winery of the entire tour, they set the bar high if you are looking for a laid back experience with fabulous wine and ciders! Highly recommend!
  • The wine was good, as were the ciders but my time was ruined because of the person "helping" us with our tasting... he was very condescending, he talked to us like we were idiots and he was better than us. He got annoyed when we asked questions and made us all very uncomfortable the whole time... and when we asked to try the ciders he said "why come to a winery to try cider?" Which made us feel dumb... but like I said the wine was good the ciders was great... tom... was mean...
