  • One of the most beautiful state capitols in the nation. Renovated around 10 years ago and they did a wonderful job. From the middle of the first floor of the rotunda look up to the top of the dome. Am...  more »
  • A symbolic and beautifully neat building, steeped in history to know! Located in the Centre of the city, very easy to get! And a beautiful viewpoint to see the city!

  • Great place to take kids... you get to awe them with the view inside the dome, and throw in some history along the way. We went on one of the free hourly tours (you have to sign up in advance), and loved it. Easy in-and-out underground parking, too.
  • Beautifully restored! I love the murals inside, especially the Kansan Farmer. Nice gift shop, cool basement with the giant limestone boulder foundation. Climb to the top is scary, but I look forward to doing it again sometime with my daughter!
  • The state capitol Visitor Center is clean and well-kept. It is open most days of the week accepting the weekends. Security is moderately tight. There's decent information regarding the Capitol and historic sights.
  • A truly great and beautiful civil building. Wonderful walking tours are given daily about the history of the building and of Kansas. Staff is always courteous to all civilians, even to the protesters.
  • A very nice place to visit. Great exhibits if you are interested on the history of the state.
