  • I like the historic sites, so an old mining location like this was pretty interesting to visit. Mike inside was very freindly, and sat you down for a very interesting 20 min video. Nice gift shop. You can walk nearby around the visitors center, or take a decent hike along the trails (I am out of shape, so a good workout). I went on a mild, sunny day, great veiws.
  • We didn't take the tour but looked around the shop. Bought an amethyst and a wire necklace to hold hit. I put it on my rear view mirror. We bought one for my mother-in-law as well. We love them! Very nice and knowledgeable lady was working, didn't get her name.
  • Really cool abandoned mining operation, if you like that sort of thing, it's a neat site. Headframe still in tact and a bunch of old buildings. Worth the drive if you are in the area!
  • The discovery that lifted Nevada out of a 20 year depression, and launched the great bonanza of the 20th century.
  • Wonderfully preserved historic mining exhibits with excellent explanations via signage and friendly staff. Well worth the time and small fee to learn about this 100 year old silver mine.
