Allen Street, Tombstone

4.1
#3 of 8 in Sightseeing in Tombstone
Historic Site Landmark
The site of the gunfight at the O.K. Corral, Allen Street still harbors the spirit of the Old West. During Tombstone's golden days, the street was the city's entertainment and commerce hub. The street's saloons and shops were frequented by prospectors and gunslingers, and the Earp brothers kept an eye on wrongdoers. Today many of the historical attractions are either preserved or reconstructed. You can see reenactments of everyday life and historical events, or take a guided tour and learn about the street's thrilling and sinister past. Visiting the street is free, but an admission fee is required for certain attractions. Arrange to visit Allen Street and other attractions in Tombstone using our Tombstone vacation trip planner.

Where to stay in Tombstone

Tombstone may bill itself as the "Town Too Tough to Die," but there's nothing too tough about its accommodations. This frontier town offers a good selection of affordable inns and small motels providing every comfort of home in or near the historic central district. Most of the town's bed and breakfasts provide cable TV, free Wi-Fi, and access to a private swimming pool. For a more rustic "Wild West" experience, pitch a tent at one of Tombstone's campgrounds.

  • Wonderful room and close to all events in Tombstone. They do need bigger blinds on the front door so no one can see in. Other than that, totally recommend. Clean and convenient.
  • Clean. Nice and simpel. Only a couple of rooms wit a nice little patio in front, q nd the OK coral is only a 100yards up the street
