See more than 250 species of sea creatures at the aquarium, and observe wolves and polar bears in a habitat filled with streams and waterfalls. • This zoo is wonderful! It is not overly spread out so you don't get tired walking between exhibits. The new-er aquarium is the best! They work really hard to have seasonal activities and their Christm...  more »
  • Would I do it again, no. One time was enough. Price was to high, should maybe have been 10 dollars. I had 8 total with me for 2 hrs and a half the price I paid was over priced. Not enough animals out....  more »

  • Really a fantastic little zoo for what it is. It does not compare to Columbus or Chicago - but it doesn't try to. It's clean, well staffed, innovative, child friendly, and even the food is reasonable for zoo-fare. The new aquarium is great. The splash pad and kids zoo are great additions. Animals look content and we'll treated. I don't live in the area but still come at least once a year [I love zoos] keep it up Toledo you're doing a good job.
  • This review is for the amphitheater only. It's a clean and nice looking venue, but... Parking is a joke. If you're not lucky enough to get in the Broadway lot, hopefully you brought some comfortable shoes. No water fountains available, so be prepared to fork over $$$ to quench your thirst. If you prefer a libation, be prepared to stand in line twice, because you must first purchase drink tickets. Then there's the seating. Uncomfortable to say the least. I'd rather stand, but you can't. Because lastly, there's the zoo security, making you feel like you're in prison on movie night. Eyes forward, remain seated, and no pictures! I wonder if security patrols the parking lot with the same diligence...
  • We enjoy this very much. It is so good for families the exhibits are very close. Easy walking on the little ones. The food is really about the same price if you would buy at the average fast food restaurant. When we went we got two meals and it was about $20 so yeah it's a little pricey but the park will allow you to bring food in so you don't necessarily even have to eat their food. The gift shops are beautiful the park is clean it's just a very nice day I highly recommend going to this zoo. Buy the membership because it's well worth it. After three visits it's paid for itself and trust me you will go three times if not more in a year specially if you have children.
  • I had an amazing trip. It was super hot, I think the map could be improved and more signs that point to exhibits. But it was good, prices were fair for the experience that I got. But the STAFF SUCKS AND COULD USE SOME HUMOR OR FRIENDLINESS. out of all staff members there, 4 of them were kind. That includes a gift shop employee, 2 train station employees, and 1 janitor............
  • We love the Toledo Zoo and especially the aquarium. We've renewed our membership three years in a row. Both of our toddlers enjoy going to see the polar bears play and touch the stingrays in the aquarium. It can get congested on busy days and during the summer be a miserable experience for parents, but I think that goes for all zoos. Go during the spring or winter when it's a bit warmer and you'll find much more enjoyable. There's stairs and an awful ramp you have to climb to get to the park, and a tunnel with zoocentric music to endure. I haven't looked for disability friendly options but I'm sure they have them. The ramp is certainly wheel chair friendly. They just got a dingo, tiger, and a couple other animals next to the sloth bear and across from the flamingos. That exhibit was updated and it's awesome! We went last week and all the animals were out playing, even the sloth bear. We love him the most. And of course the educational aspect is worth mentioning. They have a ton of information and we learn something new every time. The animals seem well cared for and healthy. They do rehabilitation as well. The bald eagles are injured in the wild and cared for by their vets.in a luxury bird suite during their stay. Overall a great zoo. Not to big but not too small and definitely one that cares about their animals. This is a picture of my oldest the first time she went and the sloth bear the first time my second went.
