  • Mostly of an African exhibit. Bring your own food because the restaurants there are very expensive. Restrooms can be very gross. On weekends the zoo is packed. Its better to go during the week. Shows are fun to watch. Some of the staff can be rude, especially in the stores and restaurants. Fun place for the family.
  • Best zoo in the country. Lots of exhibits but you don't have to walk far in between. The new aquarium is beautiful. There's an aviary with several open air exhibits. Lots of feedings and demos. You can easily spend a whole day here.
  • I've been going here for a long time. Over the years they have made some great updates. Aquarium is new although I wish it were bigger. Fantastic play areas for the kids and they have a water play area for summer months. Exhibits are close together so not a lot of walking compared to other zoos. For the little ones there is a pretty cool train ride and carousel. I've really noticed the money being invested back into the zoo which is nice to see.
  • The kids all had a great time, their ages ranged from 10 to 3. The prices for the train ride were really cheap. It's a great idea to purchase the membership it does pay for itself after two visits. It is pricey with food and souvenirs. The aquarium was great for interaction with different sea creatures.
  • This Zoo is amazing, I have a membership to the Detroit Zoo so it feels like a deal when I get half off to come here, there are Animals everywhere you walk. One of the biggest disadvantages of the Detroit Zoo is that you have to walk long stretches bf seeing a single animal. Now the do offer the Animals a larger habitat, bit with their new goals to improve attendance they really should consider the customers experience
