  • This historic old country store, where Doc Watson & other great country singers used to perform, has been closed for several years & is up for sale for $500,000. There don't seem to be any buyers will...  read more »
  • We had heard so much about this place, we were disappointed to find it closed and up for sale. Go either direction to fine neat places full of local color that are open and busy.
  • The owners of this business are trying to sell it. It is currently closed. I stopped by as we were in the area to go tubing. There is a for sale sign in the window. The lady at the store across the st...  read more »
  • Let's just say you would be better off eating out of a vending machine at any gas station in any city in the state rather that at this place. At least you would not get overcharged and the vending machine would not stare without blinking at every one of the female members of your party. The owners of this jip joint make the Adams Family look normal! Hold on to your wallet, your valuables and your kids and RUN as fast and as far as you can from this cesspool of humanity.
  • We love the Todd area; friendly people and beautiful country side! Sad there is a bad apple in an otherwise pristine barrel. The owners (man especially) were rude, and they are way overpriced. I am sorry I gave them any business, it won't happen again.
  • Hopefully all the wonderful ,friendly people and places in the Todd area will not be judged by the owner of this establishment. Never have experienced such rude treatment and total lack of customer service. Accused my family of breaking one of his overpriced plaques and smugly presented it to us as we were leaving since we had broken it!! Not even aware of any accidents, but my brother paid him anyway. Had we known we had broken anything, we would have certainly brought it to his attention. After I gave him his "plaque" back and told him how rude he really was......His reply was " You must be Baptist"!!!!!!!!!!! (whatever that means). It was only a ten dollar plaque,, but the experience was HORRIBLE..
  • The owner was a decidedly unfriendly man. I walked out and went across the street to the mercantile. They were very nice and had terrific hot-from-the-oven cinnamon buns with maple creme icing!
  • Quaint old general store with an awesome little grill. Great lunch spot!
