  • Stumbled on to this on way to Space Center. Nice museum, great planes, some airworthy, simulators are fun and the restoration area interesting.. Guides are informative and friendly. Worth a stop.
  • I love this place. And especially the planes, some of them air worth that are here. Excellent spot for old pilots and war nostalgia buffs like me. Go spot for kids as well.
  • At first glance, appear the $20 cheap, but you should take admission for an adult as not just into account, that this not only beautiful booth exhibits are funded, but receive some of the exhibited aircraft fully airworthy and more are still are in the restoration phase - alone this a certain fee should be a value. In contrast to the me zzuletzt visited great free must like the Pensacola Naval Air Museum (United States Navy) or the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon, London / RAF) or the smaller U.S. air forces armament Museum on the Egling AFB is here no financially strong military organization as sponsorship behind it but an enthusiastic private organization in many cases from which itself with many helpers, tour guides former pilots , Composed the work employees etc. The aircraft exhibition is rounded off by a small fine exhibition of dioramas, models and artifacts of the air war starting with the 1 World War up to the Viet Nam conflict. Positive side is that it is virtually with the exhibited aircraft up close, because they are not kept with thick cord bands by visitors - Nevertheless, the visitors is clear that here is not to a "Petting Zoo" of the contact. Where else can you open bombs and landing gear bays so close look or move bückenderweise under wings? A large air show site is held once in a year, where other flyable veterans from the 2 make their waiting for world war. These AirShows are mostly under a theme which some later find a worthy place in the part of the Museum such as E.g. Flying Tigers or the Tuskegee Airmen I had personally seen like still more aircraft from the second world war on the ground, but also the exhibited jets were not the usual exhibits elsewhere to a must-have for every MilitärFlugzeugFan

  • We started visiting here years ago and even became volunteers. My wife helps with events and I became a tour guide. Great museum. This museum is different from many air museums because you can get "up close and personal" with the planes on display. Walk with the tour guides and hear stories about why the planes on exhibit are special.
  • Great tour guides. You will not only learn about the planes they volunteer to restore, but also about the time, place, and missions they were used on.
  • Nice museum with beautifully restored Warbird airplanes. We had the luxury of having Larry be our guide (even though he wasn't a paid guide anymore). Very informative and lots of history and planes here. Every year, they have an airshow that seems to be well thought out and put together. If you ever get into the area then this is a go-to museum and a must-see on your list of places to go. I enjoyed it very much.
  • Have been passionate about aviation my whole life... Hadn't heard about the museum, but made a stip as I saw the signs on the road. What a great place... Beautifil collection, well maintained and displayed. As you walk through the various parts of the exhibit, you'll meet some of the folks that made this place possible, passionate, taking the time to discuss with all amd share stories and passion. Loved the two hours spent there... Highly recommand.
  • Great visit and a special military air museum. Hands on
