NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Reviews
It's an amazing experience to go there. We were there at the 26th of December, and there were not a lot of people so that was really nice. We had a great time! more »

One of the hidden jewels an hour away from Orlando, the Kennedy Space Center is jam packed with history, science and technology in a family friendly way. This place is so inspirational, your visit may help spur your little one to become an astronaut someday! The Atlantis Shuttle exhibit alone is worth the visit. Inside the exhibit is the space shuttle itself, hanging from the ceiling with its bay doors open. It is so awe inspiring, for a few of us, you may feel as if something is stuck in your eye. 😎 Additionally, you can feel what liftoff is like in The Shuttle Launch Experience. A great ride for those who dare to go! It's pretty safe unless you have major hip or back issues. There is the memorial for those who have lost their lives on the Columbia and Challenger shuttles that is touching, as each family has displayed mementos of the astronauts. There is an option that you can upgrade your ticket for lunch with an astronaut, too. The visit really needs a full day to take advantage of all the tours, videos and exhibits. The annual pass is a great value too. Food options are varied and reasonably priced compared to other nearby attractions. So if you're in central Florida and the weather is not good enough for a day at the attractions and you're looking for something to do for you and your kids, take the Beachline Freeway and within an hour your imagination will soar into the heavens.
This is a space-things museum. It's worth visiting because you take a close look to the USA history of space navigation and research. The bus tour is awesome and the driver made it even better, she was funny and gave a lot of interesting information, too. It is kind of hard to match a rocket launch date, but if there is one close they would probably have the rocket visible for people. The food had really good prices and it's very good. I enjoyed it a lot
The Kennedy Space Centre is about an hour drive from Orlando. When we got in we weren't quite sure what to do. There are a number of rockets and space capsules on display and then you make your way through the centre to the movie theatres. The movies were interesting as was the Atlantis exhibition. It was great that some parts of the complex were interactive for the kids. The cafe there is reasonable and you can get salads as well as burgers and other fried foods. The gift store had a great range of space merchandise and it was fun getting photos outside with an astronaut and a space robot. We were glad we made the drive out to see it. One day was plenty of time for us to see everything we wanted to.
Well organized, professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff, etc. Cannot say enough great things about his place. Amazing exhibits and tours, beautiful scenery, etc. Even good while in a wheelchair/crutches. Get there early on weekends and holidays as usually special tours/events sell out. Sad that you have to rent a regular wheel chair, feel that should be free of charge (understand charging for electric).
There's so much to see and do, there's almost no chance of seeing it all in one day but we squeezed in as much as we could. The bus tour was great, the movies were fun and informative, the tour guides were awesome, and how can I even begin to describe the immensity and awesomeness of the Saturn V? Likewise, the Atlantis exhibit is pretty incredible. It's almost impossible to go wrong here, especially for an engineer and geek like me.
