Reelfoot Lake State Park, located in the northwest corner of Tennessee, is one of the greatest hunting and fishing preserves in the nation. The lake encompasses 25,000 acres (15,000 of which are water) and harbors almost every kind of shore and wading bird, as well as the golden and American bald eagles. Other animals are also diverse and abundant here. Its many species of flowering and non-flowering plants attract botany enthusiasts from all over the country. Cypress dominates the margins of the lake, but many other trees and shrubs are also present.Quickly create a custom-made itinerary for Tiptonville using our trip planner.

First time visiting Reelfoot Lake for my wife and I. We decided to make the drive from Memphis to check out the migrating bald eagles and we're not disappointed. Can't wait to go back.

This is a beautiful park. We visited the museum which was very informative re: the history of ReelFoot Lake. Also enjoyed seeing the snakes and the birds in the rehab center.

Nice park, with unique trees. The river cruise was closed but there are other boat rentals available from Boe's landing. Without the boat tour it is difficult to appreciate the beauty of this park. The birds, especially the bald eagle was a nice touch.

Definitely a five star destination! I stayed in a spotlessly clean cabin with ample premium linens and a full kitchen with modern appliances and plenty of plates, glasses, pots, and pans. One step out of either the front or back porch,(both of which had lovely seating areas) and there’s Reelfoot Lake, with pelicans, no less!!! I couldn’t believe what a bargain this place was!!

Stayed at the campground for ten day at the end of November. The campground is very nice and the sites have a good amount of room. The bathhouse was great. It was always warm and had hot showers. Laundry was also nice. Just wish there was more trails around the campground. Very beautiful being right on the lake.

Excellent campsites, price, spacing and views! Firewood is $6. Best spots are 2, 3 & 15-20. All by the water. 2 functional bath houses that are cleaned every morning. Kayak rentals and boat ramp are by spots 2 & 3. Convenient and great spots for us kayakers but you're gonna have a lot of foot traffic. The campground was packed out but everyone was respectful, nice and quiet. # 15 is by the pavilion so if you're tent camping, you have a dry place to hang out if it rains. But the best spot is # 20. No foot traffic and private, by the water and not far from the bathhouse. Next door, within walking distance from spots 2 & 3, is the resort and restaurant, Blue Bank Fish House, with excellent comfort food and waterfront views! (See my review for Blue Bank Fish House) Don't forget the mosquito repellent!

First day fishing here! Windy and sunny! Our guide had us using a Garmin to fish with and a 16 foot pole. It was so different, nothing like I have ever fished before. Still had lots of fun and enjoyed the day!
