I'm a horror movie fan, and staying in room #217 from the book, The Shining, was a must for me. I'm saddened to report that there were no spooky twins in our hallway, nor was there a gruesome woman in... more »

Great experience at Timberline Lodge. The history and craftsmanship of the building are amazing. Rooms are comfortable but small - don't bring much luggage! The public areas are clean, spacious and co... more »

Stopped in to see the historic lodge. It has been years since I was here last and it looks like everything has been restored to its original lustre. The food smelled delicious and the amenities looked like they would make for a fun stay. We were inspired to look into coming back for a weekend getaway.

We ate at the bar upstairs on a busy weekend but managed to get a great spot over looking the cascades to the south. Prices are a little steep but the food was well worth the prices. Everything my group ordered was delicious and was brought out fairly quickly. I would definitely eat there again if I go back!

We brought family up to the lodge to take a look at the classic car show that was going on up at the lodge and see the sights. It was almost 100 degrees in Portland and only 70 degrees at the lodge, so that was a bonus. The Lodge is amazing! There are many guest rooms and little nooks and crannies that you can look around in. While we didn't see any fires blazing in their huge central fireplace, we could imagine how it felt for those during the winter time due to the sheer size. The restaurants inside the Lodge looked very nice the food smelled great although we didn't eat. The views of Mt. Jefferson and Three Sisters was great on the day we were there and in some parts of the ski area, it looked like they had been grooming it and that people could still ski (it was June 24th, 2017). Looks like a great place overall and can't wait to go back!

So cool! The lodge really y focuses on its history with old style rustic furnishings. The hotel is located at the timberline of Mt. Hood with plenty of scenic views and ski accommodations. It was intriguing that the hotel does not showcase its more recent history in that the outside was used as the creepy Overlook Lodge in gin, " The Shining". All in all, a wonderful place to stay or just for a visit anytime of the year.

We ventured up to the lodge to check out the view and the snow on a hot summer day. Brought our out of town parents to see the beautiful mountains, they are from Ohio. They loved it! Totally gorgeous, beautiful flowers against the snowy background. Staff was helpful and super friendly. Told me the story behind the image on the hoodie I purchase. Very cool.
