  • We stopped at the Lodge as our last stop on our tour and it was great. Nice place to relax and unwind, while taking in the cool weather and snowy sights. The view of Mt. Hood is impeccable.  more »
  • Be careful on your booking; We planned a vacation in the middle of May to fly into Washington and see the sights since we have never been to the northwest before. Booked a room at Timberline lodge onl...  more »
  • It was a cool spring day, snow in the forecast but the roads were clear and it was a beautiful drive up to the lodge. Snow still on the ground and plenty of skiers and snow boarders around. We went fo...  more »
  • Absolutely beautiful in the winter. Was a very windy day when we went up but the lodge is phenomenal and the inside is just stunning. Very eerie in some places but great history can be found inside. Timberline lodge was also used for the aerial shot of the lodge in The Shining, so if you've seen the movie, it's very cool just to stop by and see the place. Stunning!
  • Went to Rams Head bar. Great atmosphere, incredible views of mt hood. Food was pricey but not overly, it's on a mountain and it's a ski lodge so I expect to pay more. The dining room also looked good but we were with a toddler so the bar worked out better.
  • Great ski resort that's open extremely late into the season. Don't be scared away by spring/summer skiing, they've got fun terrain late into the year! Really well organized with playful runs. Nothing crazy steep however, so if you're looking for the hardest terrain you may consider hiking up Mt Hood
  • This is an historic Lodge on the order of the ones on Yellowstone or Yosemite or even the ones along the Canadian Railway. It was built by the WPA during the depression and lovingly maintained. While rustic and quaint, it is set in a beautiful mountain area on the south slope of Mt. Hood and has wonderful views. It is a ski resort and there are many skiers during the winter weekends. The rooms are not modem and have older features, but it's all part of the historic charm. The food is excellent, the pool and park-like environs are great. If you live the outdoors and don't need the urbanity of a mid-town hotel, this is the place.
  • We stopped up there for a few hours to enjoy the beauty. The view of the top of the mountain is breath taking. The Lodge is so relaxing and the history of it is great. They have amazing food and rec room. Looking forward to actually staying there soon.
