Loved sitting on the patio on a beautiful day, sipping some nice wine and eating cheese and crackers, while listening to some live music! We've enjoyed the spirits and are thrilled that they now have ...  more »

We had a beautiful evening for a wedding. The Catoctin Mountains in the background set a beautiful scene. The outdoor cocktail hour area very nice and the actual hall was so nice.  more »

We brought home four bottles from the distillery....so yes we loved the place. The Saturday afternoon ambiance was great, but for me it was all about the tasting. And this review is solely on the distillery section. Maybe we'll try the wine next time. The Bourbon, Lavender Gin, Rye Whiskey and Vodka were as good as any we've ever tried (honestly better). John, the owner and distiller, was giving the tasting and he has every right to be confident in his product. It's fantastic!! He seriously knows what he's doing there. Definitely stop by and give them all a try for yourself. And then take them all home. We didn't even get to the Rum, Brandy and other options. Again...maybe we'll have to go back to see what we missed.

I love this place! They have great events and plenty of them. I have recently gone to a cupcake and wine pairing and the lavender festival. People are knowledgable and very kind. Lines at events are long but you can't beat the prices for their bottles of wine. Much cheaper than other vineyards. Lovely area and a great place to hangout and enjoy wine with friends.

As a veteran winery visitor for over ten years, this was without a doubt the worst winery experience I've ever had. The owner is evidently some 25yr old dot com millionaire that doesn't have the first clue how to run a winery business. He books too many events for the same day, and places too many restrictions on the regular visitors. I have never been to a winery that doesn't allow picnics with food brought from outside the winery on some exterior part of the property. It's a shame, because the Cabernet Franc I barely got to taste was quite good. Having good wines isn't enough to overcome an otherwise poor customer service experience. I didn't visit their website before going there, as the visit was a Father's day gift from my daughter. Had I done so, I would have known there was no outside food allowed anywhere on the property, and we wouldn't have come at all. We will not be back. There are many other fine wineries nearby to visit, especially in Virginia.

Nice but a massive identity crisis. Had some cool spirits and a nice patio but we couldnt find where the spirits/wine where sold.

I went to the Lavender Festival this past Sunday. I didn't feel particularly welcome at any point, the organization was not great, and there wasn't sufficient shade for how blazing hot it was. I'm also trying to figure out why, if admission to the lavender fields is normally $5 (which includes a lavender bundle), did I pay an extra $20 for a lunch I didn't much like, port-a-potties for bathrooms, and crowds of people fighting for shade. Oh right, the souvenir glass, which only reminded me that wine tastings weren't available. I would have been willing to go back to try the wine on a different day, but the response I got to my review on Facebook was so obnoxious and incorrect, I won't be returning. First impressions are important and Springfield Manor fell flat on its face with the Lavender Festival.
