  • As I was looking for free family outings in Thousand Oaks I came across the gardens. As soon as we arrived we were impressed with the beauty of the grounds. We had just entered a quiet oasis in the mi...  more »
  • Great walk this time of year. We saw baby bunnies on the lawn and butterflies in the rose garden. My kids (8 and 11) love it. And if your child has been in 4th grade recently, they'll love all the pai...  more »

  • This is a hidden gem in Thousand Oaks. Usually flowers are in bloom and it's a decent sized small garden. It's free which is great and I love taking pictures - it's beautiful. Highly recommend!
  • Beautiful garden, we went in the spring time, but you have to see in the summer, when all roses are blooming. I went for second time in summer, so beautiful, well maintained and designed, clean. Beautiful fountain ⛲
  • Magical place. I go for 5-15 minutes regularly. Make sure you drive up the ramp through the gate. This gem is a well kept secret.
  • I came at noon a wonderful Saturday, and there were about a total of 10 people there (including staff and people in the offices), so there was next to no one in the actual gardens. Peaceful walk through rose gardens, tranquil thoughts at the Japan-themed area, and a nice look at the wonderful fountains and water structures. In the pavilion, two kids and their dad were playing hide-and-seek, and being a little loud at it, compared to the gardens itself. As I was walking out, guided by a map/garden guide that one of the staff gave me (very friendly old lady), a dad and their upset kids were leaving, as I heard the dad say something like "Try no to be so loud next time." There was next to no one there, I was quiet and polite, and it was my first time there. As I had a great time there, I wish all the rest of the reviewers here had the same kind of experience. It was me and three other people, and they still managed to kick out 3 out of 4. Call them strict, just be nice.
  • Anyone who has anything negative to say about this place was trying to take advantage and got called out for it and so they're bitter. This is a place for peace and silence. One of the most rare things you can find in the smack middle of the city. Where else can you go to smell the flowers and listen to the sound of running water in a perfectly maintained area that is FREE. I can't name any. If you need a place to recharge your soul, Gardens Of the World is it. Thank you to everyone who donated money and time to keep it free and pristine.
