A very enjoyable and peaceful stroll for us 80 year olds. In todays world most leisure activities are costly for those of us who are on a fixed income. This provides enjoyment without financial pain..

I fell in love with this place several years ago and have been volunteering ever since. The Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is a great escape from the city and located right in Thousand Oaks. Everyone works very hard to keep the gardens beautiful and a demonstration of ornate dry gardening in a variety of styles.
What a lovely break from the normal to take a stroll through these Botanical Gardens. I was very surprised by how much space was actually in the gardens, and the wide variety of plants. Really worth it if you happen to be at the park to come through here.
Spring time awesome all blossoms
One of my favorite walks.
The Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is 33-acres of natural terrain encircled by the city of Thousand Oaks. From the the sweeping vistas at the hilltop of the Garden through fifteen unique, hillside specialty gardens, and onto the nature trail along the riparian steam, the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is a destination not to be missed. The main garden is open most days from 7am to 5pm. The Kid's Adventure Garden is open most Sundays from 11am to 3pm. A great family destination.
