We took our 3 and 6 year old on the bike trail for an outdoor Florida riding experience and the Flatwoods trail did not disappoint. Went just after lunch so it wasn’t crowded. I would recommend...

We biked the entire 7 miles plus an additional 2 miles in no time at all because the asphalt trail is wide, flat, and smooth. Some folks have said this trail is wooded, but it is not. You have views..... more

I love going to Flatwoods to run and ride bikes! The wide asphalt path is perfect for everyone and the loop is 7 miles. Water coolers are always ice cold and placed every 1.5 ish miles.

Awesome park to enjoy a bike ride, long walk with the puppies, grab a nice run in, push a friend in a wheelchair, roller blade a few miles, or just wander through some of the landscape that real Florida is known for! Tons of wildlife and birds galore. Watched a Red-tailed Hawk eat some dinner as I enjoyed the crisp Florida air. It's $2 to park, cash or credit and there are bathrooms available in the parking lot area. The park does have a strict close time so plan your adventure accordingly. Definitely a nice local Tampa spot that is quiet and peaceful. Right at dusk allows for some fantastic photos with the beautiful sun setting into the forest. It's so nice to have the paved trails but there are also some hiking trails in the woods as well if that is more your style!

The facilities are very well maintained! Lots of cool native Florida plants around the building, the butterfly garden was very pretty. This is a great trail for biking, rollerblading, running, walking, getting out with your dog, and nature. Watching. Lots of wildlife, birds, bunnies, deer, hogs. This is such a beautiful area to relax and get into nature!

Always enjoy riding our bikes here. We also always see wildlife such as deers, rabbits, turtles, many many different birds... BE AWARE PARK IS CLOSED ON THANKSGIVING DAY AND CHRISTMAS DAY.

Fantastic trail! Great for bike riding and skating. Cold water coolers are available every couple of miles with benches. Seen deers and wild boar. $2 all day parking fee

Went on a nice 7 mile walk on Flatwoods trail. I went later in the day and the sun was setting about 3/4 of the way through. I didnt see anywhere, but they closed earlier than what it says on the page, right now it was 6:00 pm. I barely made it at 5:50, although im assuming i could've still gotten out. I saw water stations in the first 4 miles (?) But i dont recall after that. Beautiful and well kept so i recommend, although it was a little chilly. More pictures on insta, @traveling_with_z
