Flatwoods Wilderness Park Reviews
Florida has many beautiful and well maintained parks. This particular park has a beautiful 7seven mile bike trail. Water stations are well stocked. Clean, pretty, worth the trip. more »

Have gone here a few times to ride bikes and had a blast. Parking is cheap and the trails are really nice. more »
Trails built from construction of a working well field, you can see the well pump station buildings nicely set back from the main trails. Starting from the Morris Bridge parking area, a trip to the loop, around the loop(counter clock wise) and back to parking is 8.2 miles. Most of the people I encountered were bike riders, but not exclusively, there were skaters and some on foot. Shade was at a premium with long stretches exposed to direct sunlight, could get hot at times. There were some shaded benches and rest spots with roofs. Saw a small snake and 2 turtles on my trip around the park. Sign trying to encourage “on your left” when passing others, not successful as only about twenty five percent did it. The faster the bike, less likely hood of the rider doing it. Two things they could add which would be nice are electrical outlets to charge your devices and places to cook a dog or a burger, used to do many years ago up north in forest preserves and city size parks. Nice place to ride but not the nicest in the Tampa Bay Area.
Went biking here a couple of weeks ago. The paved trail is great. Plenty of room for lots of path traffic. A nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
So quiet and peaceful. I loved the trails I felt as if I was in a secluded forest!! I will definitely be back!!
Beautiful park, excellent for bikers! Paved roads and offroad paths too. Only $2 parking fee for the whole day if you come by car. Has free cold drinkingwater stops at certain spots.
This is a place for exercise. Biking, running, rollerblading. I rollerblade. There are very few places this safe and smooth. Great place for rollerblade.
