  • Great tour! Staff and curator are incredibly knowledgeable. It is definitely worth the trip if you are in the area, and a perfect rainy day activity.  more »
  • After passing this museum numerous times on our trips through Thomaston, we decided to make it our destination on June 1st. We were so glad that we did. We learned so much history from the curator who...  more »
  • I have to tell you that our recent visit to the Knox Museum was great. The tour was led by the director of Collections, Matt Hansbury and he was generous with his time and knowledge. A group of us who...  more »

  • We did not know the connection between Henry Knox and George Washington. Thank you for the history lesson. We're also looking forward to reading the book, "Shoot like a girl". More history we didn't know about. The house is in fine condition, well furnished and I would definitely come back to view the finished result.
  • I was interested in this place based on what little I know about Knox. However, #1 this place was closed, even though it was a little after 10 and the website and signage said they opened at 10. #2 it's in really bad shape outside, and the house is not original. There are a few signs around the outside which we read (because the house wasn't open and nobody came out to welcome us or notice us while we walked the grounds). The signs clearly show that they have plans to expand the site. In my opinion if they want to be able to expand they need to open the museum on time every day and encourage people to spend time and money there. Fundraisers are desperately needed from the looks of things. It's sad, really.
  • A great piece of history, and the people who work there are friendly and professional service.
  • Very interesting part of history I was not aware of
  • Great tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable.
