  • Music in the square every night. Great places to dine and shop. Excellent view of Lake Sumter. It doesn't get any better.

  • If you visiting the Villages, stop by Lake Sumter Landing to find great places to eat, have a drink, sit and relax, or to so some shopping. The area behind Gator's has places to sit and watch the turtles and the fish in the lake, happy hour is always crowded but there is usually a band playing and plenty of line dancing. It can get very crowded between 5-7 PM so you are always better off bringing the golf cart than a real car.
  • Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages is an excellent place to relax , enjoy some shopping, or watch a show or performance. While Lake Sumter Landing is reminiscent of an old town with Main Street feel, it's also modern and very accessible. The shops and stores are very, and most are very reasonably priced. There are usually sales going on every week, so it's hard not to find something you might like. You definitely need to try the orange or lime ice cream at the little knick-knacks shop on the square. The shows and performances that The Villages puts on are interesting, and are usually very well attended. The performers obviously range from good to fantastic, but usually they're in the pretty darn good range. Audience participation tends to be the norm, rather than the exception. There is a Webcam too, so you can always see what's going on via live streaming. The only real issue I've found with Lake Sumter Landing is that there is little shade in the actual square. Now, part of that is unavoidable. By simple design, the square is not able to have shade in all the spots you would think it would. But by the same token, with the older population that inhabits The Villages, you would think shade would be more of a priority. All in all though, the square at Lake Sumter Landing is a great place to relax, unwind, do some shopping, see a show, and just generally enjoy yourself. Highly recommended.
  • Great area to look around lots of things to see and lots of places to eat. This place has a nice view of Lake Sumter and has everything you need at this place. Great place to spend time anytime of the day.
  • Quaint little shopping area with a key West vibe in the villages. Just watch out for those souped up golf carts, they're swarming around here. You can park and then walk to most all of there shops. There's a good selection of shops and restaurants too: Starbucks, Barnes and nobles, Panera, and much more.
  • Wonderful shops serving a plethora of different interests. Lots of places to dine and relax, either indoor or out on patios. Very cool place to spend an afternoon.
