  • A beautiful spot, great buildings, exhibits very well done. It was a rainy day and we were too wet to walk around more waterfalls. So we opted for the Discovery Centre and we were surprised and please...  more »
  • Interesting tour of local history of the gorge. Enough hands on displays for kids. Worth the stop if going through The Dalles.  more »
  • Been there many, many times for work conferences, family themed " Casablanca" movie party, retirement parties, birthday parties and Animal Rescue fund raisers. Food has always been great.  more »

  • Our elementary and preschool kids were captivated in the discovery center by having a picture scavenger hunt. A Q&A scavenger hunt was fun for me as an adult (even though we got it for my 2nd grader). The ancient history includes a skeleton of a Saber tooth tiger and a life size replica of a mastodon. The interactive kid area kept our kids engaged for almost 2 hours. The museum is off of a frontage road, so it isn't easily seen from the Interstate and has excellent signage to follow
  • Fantastic exibits and amazing air conditioning! Great place to stop and rest during a road trip.
  • Great museum, beautiful building, and a wonderful location overlooking the river. Definitely worth a visit.
  • It is a good museum to visit. I was there for a short time (less than an hour), but I could have spent another hour watching the videos and reading more. It is a good visit.
  • Great exhibits. Many native artifacts.
