Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Teton Village
(4.6/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers activities ranging from adventure camps, spa treatments, and hunting, to skiing at some of the most challenging terrains in America. The mountain has the largest continuous rise of any ski area in the United States--over 1,250 vertical m (4,100 ft). In winter, some parts can be accessed only with avalanche safety gear. In summer, you can go hiking, paragliding, rafting, camping, horseback riding, alpine sliding, and much, much more. An aerial tram is available that takes you 3,185 m (10,450 ft) up into the clouds. Alternatively, there are many gondolas and chairlifts. Numerous free activities are available for the children, and for the grownups, restaurants and stores aren't lacking. • I loved the village. It's a high end, classy skiing village. Nice people. The resort has a Four season Hotel, apartments for Rent, restaurants, shops, tram, gondola, lifts, mostly black and blue trail...  more »
  • All of the restaurants in this neighborhood are good quality . A beautiful escape from reality. I great getaway for my wife and me.
  • If you are planning on taking a large group on a ski adventure, Jackson Hole is a poor option. If your group are expert skiers who demand the toughest terrain and big mountain skiing, it might be wort...  more »
  • Been skiing/snowboarding this mountain for 25 years. It's world class. The facilities keep getting better. Powder is amazing here. It's pricey but it's worth it, if you're a decent skier/snowboarder. It's a very steep, technical mountain. If you're a good skier don't waste your time with snow king or Targhee. If your new to skiing/snowboarding go to Snow King or Targhee. Jackson beats any Colorado resort/mountain any day.
  • Beautiful resort with awesome views. We traveled during spring / summer and it was great. For skiing, looks really steep, although the snow must be really dry there. Make sure you take the tram to the top and hike along the trails (there are easy trails with great views).
  • Some of the best skiing in Northern America in the winter and amazing beginner to intermediate mountain biking in the summer! Over four thousand feet of vert. You're going to love it.
  • On the the recommendation of an acquaintance took the Gondola to the top of the mountain. I am glad I took the advice. Views from the top were stunning. On the way to the top,we saw a mama black bear with 2 cubs from the Gondola.
  • Great fun to be had here. The mountain has a ton of back country and a decent amount of park terrain. There is something for everyone here. The view from the top when you take the air tram is awesome. In the later part of the season the snow in the bottom third of the mountain can get slushy but it's still going to be better than any other place nearby.
