  • Most of their wine is pretty good, but I liked the 2014 Peachy Canyon Mustang Springs Zinfandel for $38 a lot. Tasting fee was waived with the purchase of two bottles. Nice tasting room in the middle ...  more »
  • They have an amazing Chardonnay. We only tasted this one so they didn't charge. The manager spent so much time with us and gave us a lot of help and advice.  more »
  • Had a weekend stay at this cozy, beautiful property. Used the bar -b and sat out on the patio. It was perfect weather to star gaze in the evening. Visited the tasting room a few miles down the freeway...  more »
  • I went to Peachy Cannon yesterday as the first stop on a wine circuit that I had planned out for my sisters birthday. We are both local to SLO and haven't had too much experience with wine so we were exited to get to try some local wines and educate ourselves. We arrived and took some great pictures in an over-sized chair the site looked rather nice. It wasn't until we went into the tasting room that the experience went south. I walked in and explained to the attendant that my sister and I would like to do tastings to find out what we like and I placed my I.D and the cash for the tasting fees on the counter. I got a very smug look from the attendant and the way we were treated was very catty and unfriendly. I guess she had assumed we planned on not making any purchases that day and decided we weren't worth the effort of good customer service. I tried a few wines and headed on to the next stop on our circuit. The rest of our experiences were amazing compared to this stop. Check out my other reviews I will be posting later this week for my recommendations in places to stop.
  • Stopped in on a whim and enjoyed the wine and a chat with the staff. Really loved the wine, and will be sure to recommend the tasting room to our friends.
  • My wife and I came here with grape line wine tours. We really liked this place. Great selection of wines. The sitting area is very nice for a picnic.
  • Staff has bad attitude towards people who don't buy. Their best wines are available locally in most liquor stores and trader joe's for a lot less. Be advised, this is not the Vineyard, they built this tasting room on the highway because they are so far off the beaten path. Keep going, anything else is better.
  • We came at the right time before the rush. A quaint tasting room that is very simple and comfortable. I loved the unique Zin wines that are made here (which is what they are known for), including their port. I enjoyed nearly all of their wines. The Viognier was fantastic as well. The price was high but for many of the unique wines I would expect the price to be where it was. I do wish they would have put out some water and bread/crackers but they did not. Jay was very friendly and made you feel welcome. Note that when they get busy things can get very crazy and the atmosphere soon becomes less comfortable so go at the right time (earlier, about 11am).
