  • Absolutely beautiful park next to downtown Tempe. It's a vast area of green in the Arizona desert heat that is rare to see. Most days it's quiet and promotes a place to take a walk, have a seat, walk your dog, or spend time with friends or a significant other. Some night, this place lights up with festivals and events, such as Oktoberfest. This park is able to accommodate hundreds of people while still feeling large enough to have a good time.
  • Sadly, t's not a real beach! But a beautiful park, that partially surrounds the Tempe Park Lake. The lake is encircled by an approximately 3 feet high concrete bank, that you can fish from. At night, it's gleaming with the sparkling lights of the the bridge that crosses over it, that are reflecting off the lake. A walkway going around the lake is covered with sand, trying to give one the feeling of being at the beach shore, I suppose. The freeway is on one side and on the opposite side, Tempe business buildings, Arizona University and quaint downtown college student hangouts. Although, the park has well-kept lawns and other plants, there's not a lot of shade, so it's not a place you can enjoy in the daytime Arizona heat. Visiting at night for a stroll or bike ride is the best way to enjoy it, but the bike and pedal-boat rental places are closed.
  • Tempe beach is a fantastic location for events, a day out, and even just a place to clear your head. With a long loop walk around each side of the water bridged by a pedestrian-only and car bridge with a sidewalk, you can make your walk as long or as short as you'd like. Dogs love this area, and there are bikes for rent for those who want them. A small store is open from around sunrise to sunset, and the pedestrian bridge is lit at night. There is free parking next to the center part of the park, though during events it isn't enough for all cars.
  • This is a nice place in Tempe where you can go for an walk / run. The water body is real cool place especially when you live in a desert like AZ. It’s an outdoor spacious park, good for kids too.
  • Great place for a stroll. You can rent kayaks and paddle boats. Lots of great spots for a picnic. Some areas had lots of dog poop that their owners didn't clean up. Some spots, especially those near the businesses were kept very clean, with green grass, shade and nice water fountains.
