  • Climb of a quarter of an hour, but do this in the morning hours because the temperature quite high. On top of a nice view over the whole area.

  • My 6 yr old said this was the best thing we did in Tempe. She made us walk up A mtn every morning. Great quick way to burn some calories and the view is amazing.
  • Great place for exercise - either slow walk or to run if you are fit! Bring a camera and a good load of water. Recommended for morning walks before it gets to hot (at last during summer time...)
  • This is great, 'A' mountain is a classic Tempe landmark with a moderate hike to the top. Wonderful view at the top, definitely worth a visit and if you're a little adventurous and 420 friendly there is a secret spot or two hidden up there (;
  • Short steep hike to the top of a rock hill (so called "A" Mountain). Interesting place to watch the air traffic come into Sky Harbor International as the jets pass pretty close. Good views of Tempe. Very popular.
  • Great hike with views of Tempe and PHX takeoffs and landing. Sunset is gorgeous from up here
  • Very nice place to go if you like the outdoors and great views. The climb is all not that difficult, it's very clean and safe for the whole family. Be sure to bring water on your hikes because it does get hot.
  • It's a steep, but short hike to the top that offers a great view of Tempe area.
