Where to stay in Temecula

You have two main options for accommodations in Temecula. The cluster of lodgings around Old Town features a mix of locally owned and national chain hotels and motels. Near the vineyards east of the city, you'll find bed and breakfasts, inns, and vacation rentals in houses and condominiums. If you’re visiting strictly for the wine, try to book one of these places.

  • We did not care for the wine here. Most of our tastings went in the bucket and we didn't even use our last pour. Of course that's personal opinion, but this didn't happen anywhere else in Temecula. It's a pretty nice, small facility with a small tasting bar. There is nowhere to sit. Dog friendly - good for some people, not so much for others. The staff was nice and very attentive during our tasting.
  • Great scenery, however the service & food at the restaurant was less than ideal. Food was on the cold side & took more than 30 minutes to serve a hamburger. Would not recommend.
  • All the wine we tasted had a bad flavor. Like when you have a bottle open for a long time. We were the unique customers and they started to pouring wine from some bottles to others to refill them. The staff were most interest in a bird eating outside than attend us correctly. It's sad when you leave a bussiness degrade in that way. And $15 for tasting?! Where do you think you are? In Napa?
  • Here's my impression of Temecula wine country after visiting 6 different wineries: I think it is very overpriced judging from the quality of the wine, in general. And then you have Baily. I had to come back a second time, and asked my server why their wines were twice as good and half the price (roughly.. of course). The answer I got was that "our wine maker doesn't like ripping people off." Thank you! I appreciate that. I can't say that all of their wines are equally good, although generally better and correctly priced. But I HIGHLY recommend their Cabernet Franc, and I look forward to enjoying their Malbec tonight that I enjoyed quite a bit in the tasting.
  • Love this Winery and being dog friendly made the trip. Got to check out the dog menu too. My two fur babies had a great time. A for sure a must go place.
