  • I have always heard the food is great at the New Sheridan Chop House, but usually just went to the bar for drinks until my last visit. Not only was the food fabulous, but the level of service was incr...  read more »
  • The best dinner we had in Telluride! We had mussels, ceasar salad, filet and bread pudding dessert. Everything was outstanding!
  • Best place for steaks in Telluride! Yummy sides with lots of choices. Great and personal staff! Love Chop house
  • This is a lovely, historic hotel in the center of town, and the staff is very helpful. I recommend it highly. My wife and I stayed here for two weeknights in June 2016. We paid over $200 for the room the first night, and over $300 the second night due to the Bluegrass Festival. It's expensive but I think it's worth it. The location is terrific, on the main street (Colorado St.) next to a town park and a landmark courthouse building. The bars and restaurant in the building are beautiful and popular. In all of the common spaces of the hotel, the decor is beautiful -- classic, classy and historic. Our room was in the rear of the building, overlooking a back alley and rear yards, so the view was not wonderful. The room itself was great, including a bathroom that had upscale fixtures. The paint scheme and artwork in the room was lovely. I am glad I stayed here and I would choose it again. The hotel staff helped me when I made a special request regarding parking, and I am very grateful. We checked out of the hotel on the first day of the Bluegrass Festival. We wanted to enjoy the festival and drive away, out of town that night. The hotel had given us a parking placard to place on our dashboard while we parked for free a few blocks away in town. Well, on our check-out day, we asked if we could keep the parking placard all day, and return it tho the hotel that night, allowing us to keep our car parked in town until the festival ended that night. This was a huge convenience for us, meaning we did not have to move the car to an outlying parking lot and use festival buses to get around. Thank you New Sheridan! You made our day a lot better.
  • An enchanting place to stay in old town Telluride. The rooms are basic by modern standards, and don't come with many amenities, but the atmosphere makes up for it. No air conditioning meant that our room got very hot (80 inside, even though we had the windows open and it was 45 outside!). It's a little bit noisy, too, but that adds to feeling part of the goings on of the town. It would be nice to have a kettle or coffee making facilities in the room, rather than having to go to the lobby.
  • This place has character, charm. Our bite-size room had great upgrades like heated tile, light dimmers. Completely updated, in the heart of Telluride.
  • What a treat to visit this hotel - one hotelier to another. Here the team excels at being human and the whole spririt is one of mountain life. We met a group of locals and they asked us to join them for dinner (here of course). For us this is the best Telluride hotel we have stayed at and the only one we will stay at in the future! And the restaurant and bar are what food is about - joyous ambiance and esprit.
  • Beautiful bar and one of the few places to play pool in town! Locals are always super nice!
