  • A trip will not be complete without a trip to the Indian point ostrich farm. The best gift shop in the area with unusual things to buy from ostrich eggs, ostrich feathers etc to antiques. Lovely place...  read more »
  • I wouldn't make a special trip to the ranch, however if you are in the area and you have kids with you it is a good quick activity to occupy the kids. It is worth paying a bit to feed the baby ostrich...  read more »
  • If you are in the Tehachapi area and have young kids, this is a fun place to stop by. When I say stop by, the tour is pretty short but the tour guide was very informative and made the most of what the...  read more »
  • Giving two stars generously. This place has gone down hill quickly! They are trying to unload it/ sell. So that may be why they don't care about the quality of your experience. Drove 4 hours to go! Their website says they are open till 5 pm. We arrived at 4:03 pm. C.J. was the only one there running the place. He was very short and rude. Told us he wasn't doing any more tours that day, but we could feed them for $2 a bowl. Gave us the bowls and that was it. Last time they walked us out to the feeding area and gave us a brief tour. Nothing this time. C.J. couldn't be bothered. So we go to return the bowls and another family walks in at 4:24 pm. As we hand c.j. the bowls the other family asks for a tour and he says yes!!! I couldn't believe it! Completely disgusted by this biased behavior!!! I recommend you don't waste your time and money on the current state of this business. It blew my mind how much this place went downhill. They are trying to sell it to someone who will take the business and move it to a new location. I will wait and see if that happens, and maybe try to go again then. Such a waste of a day. Thanks C.J.
  • I'm torn between 2 or 3 stars. It was a lang drive out to see 3 ostriches and play in a nasty little playground. On the other had no one was there and it had a nice bathroom.
  • Quick little detour there. Got to feed the ostriches and see them up close. Very impressive animals. Was definitely worth the visit.
  • This is definitely a place to check out if you are in the area. It's free to walk around and look at the ostrich. I definitely recommend spending the $3 to feed them though.
  • After an eventful outing to my sons favorite skate spot in the entire Western USA, that is to say Woodward West, the family was in the mood for just a bit more adventure. On the way in, we saw the sign "Ostrich Farm", leaving the sign reappears. Now really, when was the last time you saw an Ostrich? The question, more to the point when is the next time you are going to see an Ostrich? OK were in. We drive the 1-2 miles and come upon the farm, doesnt seem like anyone is there. "Let's leave.... the vote however was to push on. 5-10minute pass and fianlly a delightful lady appears,"would you like a tour?" Yes we say, and off we go. we now all know more about those big birds that we ever thought possible. The kids squeled with delight at getting nibbled on by the big birds. Watch out for the african males, our guide informs they have a mean bite. Being big fans of "Bizaar Foods" bring back an Ostrich Egg, and having good freinds over for breakfast was just a complete riot not to be forgotten for many years. If your there, go and check it out. Spend a few bucks, buy an egg. should keep some meat on hand, we want to buy it from you! Clarks... Malibu CA.
