  • Picked this campground knowing little about it and found a beautiful lake and campground with beautiful sites. When we reserved we asked the woman for a recommendation and we certainly understood why ...  more »
  • Went to the visitors center at Taylorsville lake . I live nearby . Its a great park especially this time of the year with all the leaves changing color. Plenty of trails to hike or run . Lakeview .
  • Liked our campsite, hiking trails and the lake. Quiet park, very clean bathrooms and good showers. Did not stay long but did do some long hikes and the trails were well maintained.

  • The amenities are great: volleyball nets, playgrounds, washer and dryer, etc. The hiking and horse trails are exceptional. As with most campgrounds, you have to found the best shower head in the bathroom, and I wish the tree line was closer to the grounds in the improved camping, but I've been coming to this park my whole life, and I always will
  • The lake itself smelled like sewage everywhere, I would not recommend it to swim in. Unless you have a boat there are very few spots to even enjoy the lake. It was a terrible experience as we went there for the Taylorsville "Lake" part. The campgrounds and facilities for just camping and overnight stay are well maintained though.
  • We were in Louisville for a travel volleyball tournament in our RV at the end of April 2016. We decided to drive 25-30 minutes to Taylorsville Lake campground since we were on northeast side of Louisville. We arrived late, on great roads, to find they had a drop box honesty system. We picked a spot, dropped our $ and hooked up. We did not realize how beautiful and peaceful the park was until morning. Each spot is huge, flat with crushed gravel and supplied with fire pit and picnic table. Plenty, and I mean plenty, of room for large rigs. If you are looking for pools, activities, campground stores, and a lot of the extras other campgrounds have them this is not the place. However, if you have a big rig (like us) , need a very convenient place to a hook up for a day or 3, with a clean bathhouse, beautiful scenery, and a lot of room then this is it. PS: I was traveling with my wife and 3 teenaged girls. The ranger checked on us as soon as we arrived to make sure we got settled in ok. This was 10 pm. Safe park.
  • Very beautiful park. Large sites. Easy in and out
  • The campground is clean, so is the bathhouse. There are laundry facilities there also. My daughter and I stayed here recently, but it's not my first time camping here.
