  • This is a really nice little park right on the shore of Lake Dora in Tavares. We really enjoyed watching the sea planes take off and land on the lake and the kids really liked the little playground.  more »
  • I didn't give the park 5 stars only because my husband and I visited hoping to get in a nice walk and discovered that it's fairly small. Not the place to go for a vigorous walk for sure. That said, it has much to offer in other areas. If you have children or grandchildren, they have a wonderful splash park for a cost of $2. That seems like an affordable way to let your children burn off some energy while staying cool and having fun. They also offer a pretty big playground. There is a boat launch there. You can take a boat tour or even a seaplane tour. We'll likely be back to try these things some day.
  • Beautiful little waterfront park. The end of the downtown tavares strip. Great view to just sit and relax and take it all in. It also had a great splash pad and playground for the kids. If you're looking to kill a few with the little ones this is the place.
  • The splash pad is amazing. The playground is shaded and nice. The picnic area is very convenient. All of the facilities are well-maintained. The only problem is with the attendants at the splash pad. They are not paying attention. They are on their phones. Today the gate was left over swinging back-and-forth. When they actually interact with the kids at the slide there so passive that the kids don't pay attention. There are a lot of big kids that are being let in and they are hurting the little kids. The big kids' parents are nowhere around. If the attendance would be responsible and keep order in the splash pad I would give it five stars. They truly are the only problem. Everything else is fantastic!
  • Beautiful park, plenty of shade. Splash park costs $2 per person. The kids love it and it's nice to be able to walk along the lake, then have lunch at O'Keefe's. Love this park.
  • Beautiful Lake that's great for boating, jest skiing, or just relaxing. Plenty of Good eats options across the street! A jewel!
