  • My husband and I were in Tarpon Springs for my birthday. We signed up up for the 2:30 cruise. While we were waiting, we encountered another cruise that told us they were the best! Said they were numbe...  read more »
  • This is a combination of store and museum. I recommend starting with the free movie, which while old, continues to be quite informative about sponges and the sponge industry. The movie runs continuous...  read more »
  • You can easily see the poor video in a few of the shops along Dodecanese St. that follows the docks. This "museum" is's pathetic and yes, it is dirty too. It's been generating money for dec...  read more »
  • I like this place through out the town their is wonderful shop and great food. The Spongorama has to be your first stop when you get into town. Price are very reasonable. You will learn about sponges in 10 minutes than you ever knew
  • They are very keen at selling their sponges. There was something for every price range. We left happy. We also went in the boat tour to an island to collect shells! Very nice. I'd recommend it.
  • So many sponges but this place could use a good scrubbing... if it was cleaned up a bit this could be a nice little attraction. I thought the museum was interesting but it looked neglected. I got a bag of little sponges for craft projects at a fair price, so I left happy.
  • We visited this sponge factory which is really interesting and has some great items showing how they gather the sponges. Its well worth the trip to Tarpon Springs to see all the boats and visit some of the Greek restaurants.
  • We've been there a few minutes ago, watching the free movie. Before entering the museum, we wanted to browse the docks and come back afterwards (and buy some souvenirs of course) when we came back, that old short lady with black hair snarled at us, she was very unfriendly and told us, we should have gone into the museum after watching the movie. So we left. Why buy from someone, who has no idea of customer friendly service?
