Taos Art Museum, Taos

(4.5/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
The Taos Art Museum is dedicated to the art of early twentieth century Taos and the patrons who have nurtured and preserved it for the future. The museum's Board and Trustees are focused on bringing Taos art back to Taos to be exhibited in the place where it was created. The museum is housed in the studio and home that artist Nicolai Fechin built for his family between 1927 and 1933. The heart of the museum is a collection of paintings by the masters of the Taos Society of Artists.

  • Noted Russian artist Nikolai Fechin's home converted to a beautiful museum. Furniture and architectural elements created by the artist abound. Amazing collection of works from original Taos Society artists. A must see if you are ever in the area.
  • Some very nice Art work to be seen.
  • We had a wonderful time here. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. The weather was soon nice and the grounds were perfectly maintained. I really enjoyed my time here
  • I could not decide whether I was more impressed by the Master art of Nicholai Fechin or by the house with its beautiful wood carving. Well worth the time and admission fee!
