  • Timing is everything. We happened to be in Tampa on a rainy Sunday so naturally the facility was extremely crowded. Despite that we were able to look at all the exhibits we wanted to, it just took a l...  more »
  • This aquarium mostly had native Florida species, which not being from Florida was nice. It is fairly small with little to do. I've been to better aquariums. It was also downtown Tampa so you needed to...  more »

  • Wow. This place was amazing. I throughly enjoyed myself here and thought the exhibits were awesome. Our favorite part was the shark viewing tank. There's no other word to explain this place other than mesmerizing. Everywhere you look there is another neat thing to discover. This is a great place to bring your kids or even just go as adults like we did. We dined in at the cafe and loved it. I thought it was reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and helpful. I 10/10 recommend this place if you're wanting something fun and educational and family based. We walked through it twice and spent a good amount of time here and never got bored. Thank you for a amazing experience. We will be returning on our next trip to Tampa.
  • Prices are worth it. The exhibits are true to admire. The see through glass on the top floor adds a big urban feel. The outside area is a little splash pad if you have little ones coming with you here. Nice place with amazing fish and marine life. Its also right on the bay so you also get a nice view. A must have visit!!
  • Great Family Day! We learned a lot about the animals and native Florida species. The staff knows their facts and identification of the animals. Huge plus with tons of fish swimming around. The birds free flying was neat. I love that you are inches away from them. Missed the shows and feedings. I would like to go back and see that interaction.
  • I love sea life. The majesty of snorkeling in the Cayman reefs is something I'll never forget. They put allot of effort into reproducing that. Though I do appreciate the educational aspect, I didn't leave with sense of awe I thought I would have. Of course as an adult if you want to have "fun" you'll have to spend extra on things like snorkeling in the fake Reef and riding a boat with the dolphins. To be honest I had more fun in the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum in Orlando. But if I were five years old I would give it 6 stars out of 5.
  • If you are planning to have your wedding here, First I will say that the venue itself was beautiful. The venue has a lot to offer to entertain your guests. However, I recently had my wedding there on 5/20/17 and it was a logistical nightmare. Everything that could go wrong went wrong and I find that planning and coordination team did not do what they were supposed to do. My coordinator Lara did not send out emails to some vendors and sent wrong information about the drop-off details to the other vendors. I was told last minute that Lara would not be available for my wedding and I would have Mary as my day of coordinator. When I arrive to the venue, no one was there to greet me or my groom when he arrived. No one updated the vendors on the ceremony time so I had flowers arrive a minute before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. The security at the aquarium would not let my vendors in even though they were given permission to setup at 4pm. One of my vendors had to fight to get everyone else in to setup. They were finally able to get in at 4:50pm and my ceremony started at 5:30pm, giving the DJ little time to setup. No one came to get the groom so he had to remember what time to walk over for the ceremony. I am still not sure what Mary did because she did not coordinator the groom or I and she didn't help the vendors at all. The next issue that arise was at dinner. I had previous meetings with Lara and stressed that there was no nuts to be served at the wedding since my father had a nut allergy. But they still served nuts and they had to clear everyone's plates when we found out. Mary had left by 8pm so she wasn't available to help with this issue. I was previously told that I had the venue to myself for the night but was not informed of a last minute booking in the ceremony spot. I had to cut my pictures short and I wasn't able to get everything I wanted in that area. They also left my gifts by the front door all night and they never moved upstairs next to the reception space. If you plan to have your wedding here, please hire an outside day of coordinator or wedding planner. Have them communicate what you want to catering and the vendors. The aquarium itself does not have the properly trained people to actually coordinate your wedding.
