  • Overall fun venture - decent admission price. Beautiful viewing tanks with a huge display of various species. Small kids and adults will enjoy the experience. Even if you have a love for the ocean and find yourself snorkeling/diving regularly...you will enjoy the experience. Took a little over an hour or so to comfortably walk through the aquarium. Times did not allow us to take the dolphin boat tour but this may be an added addition to consider for your plans. Worth the visit! :)
  • I attended a wedding there a few weeks ago and I would never use this facility for anything other than to bring a group of people to walk through and check out all of the animal displays. There were supposed to be 65 people in attendance and there were less and 40 and the facility pretty much ran out of food! We went through the buffet line and didn't know that there was prime rib being sliced at the end of the line. I didn't want to put prime rib on top of my mashed potatoes and salad so I took the plate back to the table. When I went to go back up to get the prime rib, the prime rib was GONE! They said that they "might be able to find some in back" and brought out a few thin pieces. The bar was supposed to be an open bar, but we could barely get a full shot in any of our drinks. The bartender was pouring the drinks down low, so we couldn't see what he was doing, but when my cranberry juice is that red - I know there is not much dilution. There was a "photo booth" which was nothing more than a sheet with some props and a girl taking 3 pictures. It was not fun, like a real photo booth. The facility itself was beautiful and I will go back there. But I will never suggest to anyone to have an event or dinner there.
  • We enjoyed our time at the aquarium. There were lots of sea animals to see and they were easily seen. All the guides were very knowledgeable and very willing to answer any and all questions. I recommend going behind the Aquarium and finding the WW2 ship. It costs to tour it, but it is totally worth it. Very amazing!
  • The animals and sea life are beautiful although there is a very limited variety. Some of the same fishes repeat in other exhibits. It is a small area and only took about 1 & 1/2 hours to walk through. It is very informative and interesting for all ages. You will definitely learn a lot if you read the boards about the different animals. We didn't eat any food there due to high pricing. The Dolphin Cruise was nice although we barely saw any dolphins until the last thirty minutes. On the website it says 85-90 percent of the time you will see dolphins which I'm not certain about. In the end, we did see a few beautiful dolphins. The captain tells a lot about what you may see on the cruise due to being in the middle of Tampa Bay. It was a great experience over all.
  • Focus of exhibits is Florida centric (not a bad thing!) and are well done. Lots of exhibits geared for small children but also has activities for adults (scuba, dolphin cruises). Count on a minimum of a half day to travel the main exhibit. Hint: it's much easier and faster to buy admission online, then let them scan the barcodes from your phone screen.
