  • The price they charged my wife and me was not fair when the greens had been recently aerated and sanded, a couple of holes water over the cart paths, we were told it was cart path only "after we had p...  read more »
  • The Claw is a good place to get in round of golf. It's not the best course in Tampa, but has a great layout. The fairway and tee boxes need some work and the greens can be inconsistent. The staff is u...  read more »
  • I was very glad to find that The Claw opened a footgolf course about a year ago, and had been looking forward to playing it. At almost every hole, I was disappointed by the course: - Tee areas inconsi...  read more »
  • Course is challenging. Course rating from the farthest tees is 71/72. The greens and tee boxes will have dry spots here and there throughout the course. Overall I like the course for the price and condition and challenge. Worst part about it is that I always get low battery carts which die on me 4-5 holes into the game. This has happened a couple times. Other bad things have to deal with the wait the course can build up towards the end of the day, especially with everyone coming in for cheap prices after 4/5 pm-- people will start to jump around the course to play as many open holes as they can it slows down the overall play. Wish the starters had better control of this, never see them checking the course throughout the day.
  • The green fees and food/beer prices are decent, the shape of the course was very average. What kills me is the pace of play. I'm a very average golfer, low 90s is a solid round. I found it impossible to develop a rhythm.
  • Course is always in good condition. Driving range needs some help. It's more sand than grass, and range balls are weighted so don't go expecting to figure out club distances.
  • Challenging but average quality. Worth $30
  • Student friendly. But if it rains, you'll be playing in swamp and mosquitoes
