  • This place is awesome! The animals are well-kept and the park is humongous! I'd say the food is also good, from the dine-in restaurants to the concession stands scattered through the park. The rides are also very cool with the kiddie rides in the Australian section to Gator Falls in the Florida section. It's a really good way to cool off on a hot day. The exhibits are also very cool to look at just themselves. From the Underwater Manatee viewing area to the ever-so entertaining Monkey play sets, this place is amazing! Also, don't forget to check out the "DinoQuest" maze that they do here! It won't disappoint!
  • I am a Tampa native and haven't been to this park since I was a little girl. We took my boyfriends granddaughter who is 5, we were having a great time, got to see the animals and made it to the rides, all was perfect for her, she loved it and had a great time. I didn't realize the park closes at 5:00, time was flying by so around 4:45 we decided to get some ice cream, we had to wait there a few minutes cause there was a line, so we sat down to relax and eat our ice cream, the ice cream shop started closing down so we knew the park was closing but wanted to finish our ice cream real quick and all of sudden I guess it was a security guard walks up to our table which was the closest to the ice cream shop and tells us "You need to leave NOW," we were in shock, he caught us off guard never expected that and in such a rude tone (he was older man with all white hair) and then still standing by our table yells at everyone else at the other tables that they needed to leave. We were all in shock by his tone.....So we got up with our ice creams and started walking out of the park, I would of liked a few minutes to be able to eat my ice cream and not be rushed out. But other than that, we had a good time.
  • Great place. Had an annual pass and liked it enough we ended up with another. Plenty of animals, though sometimes they aren't all out (this is where the pass comes in). Fun for adults and children (so long as they all like animals to begin with). Pack a lunch, as with all attraction based venues, the prices are too high to fool with for both food and drink. That in mind, I love visiting. Best periods are overcast or cool weather, though there is ample shade in addition to a little water area for children to play with that features fountains.
  • Fun zoo with lots to do and see. Would have given 5 stars, but...Family of 4 cost $115!, The macaw release was less than awe inspiring as only 3 birds came out, Smell from the orangutan was too much to take, paid $5 for a tiny cup of juice the birds drink. Feeding the birds, rays, and giraffes was fun. Knowledgeable staff near exhibits.
  • Has a good variety of animals and the staff I talked to were very knowledgeable about the animals. Good exhibits and overall a good zoo. You can be in and out but to enjoy the zoo and all it has to offer it take about 4 hours give or take depending how long you stay at every exibit.
