  • A great find on the RiverWalk. Really nice museum that focuses on Tampa history but also Florida in general. Really nicely done at a good price--$12.95 for adults. We spent about 90 minutes because we...  more »
  • Did not know this was the Cigar capital of the nation. It shows changes of Tampa came to be. It is located on two floors.
  • I've lived near Tampa for most of my life and never knew its history. The museum is very informative and hands on. Plus, it's a great spot by the water and had the Columbia Cafe. We will definitely be...  more »

  • Had a wonderful experience at the Halloween "Night at the Museum" event. My daughter was mostly interested in the candy hunt, but we were constantly looking over our shoulders for one the scary ghosts from the Ghostbusters! The costumes were great and the museum is well-organized. I would love to come back for an adult day to enjoy the history instead of running from ghosts!
  • Born and raised in the Tampa area. Love the museum and all of the history surrounded. I also like the fact that they kept up the confederate flag. We can't erase our heritage.
  • An amazing addition to life in Tampa. Great for adults or children. Well designed and very interesting. I've grown up in the Tampa area yet still learned many new things about the area's history.
  • First and second floors are the same year round but provide a great look at the history of the region. Third floor is for special exhibits. Loved this place. Can spend an hour or all day - all depends on how much you want to learn / experience.
  • This was an excellent museum. The staff were excellent and informative. they cover several important areas of the Tampa area, including cigars, the local Native Amereician opulation, and how they were treated by the US Govt, and lost of memorabielia of sports teams of the Tampa area. Its fun and even young children will find stuff to enjoy.
