I enjoy going here for derby day. It's easy to wager and the staff are wonderful. Unfortunately there is not live racing year round but you can always play poker. Next door to the track is a driving r... read more »
Just a fun place to be! Whether you bet on the horses or just go to watch you will have a great time!
A group of friends enjoyed a day at the track with lunch and seating in the clubhouse. The meal was delicious . We even had a race named for our club and pictures after the race with the winning jocke... read more »
Fun day at the races! We had lunch in the Terrace restaurant. Food was good and the server was very relaxed, considering we sat at the table for quite some time. The employees at the betting windows were friendly enough and patient despite it having been awhile for me. I told the first one i was rusty and he helped me make sure I got what i wanted. Food was good, i had grilled salmon and a salad. Wife had a drink or two, which she enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Although sitting by the window, especially on a warm afternoon, can get pretty hot. Up to you if it's worth the nice view or not.
This Review is for the Driving Range. I have been there often as it is close to my home. Some of the staff is really rude and they do not know how to be cordial and be nice to customers. There is one young fellow who is shorter than average with closely cropped dark hair who has no idea how to treat people with courtesy and respect. He addresses customers as if they are an inconvenience to him. He was this way with me and after I purchased a large bucket he gave me a receipt and I wandered over to look at some of their club displays. While I was looking at clubs I was listening to his encounters with subsequent customers at the register and he was rude to them also. This youngster is clearly not cut out for any customer contact position in any business. He may be more suited for a job in the back of an operation but certainly not the front of the house. I'm not sure if he is an unhappy person or is just extremely arrogant but he needs about 6 months in the Disney smile school and I'm not sure if even that would help. I now go there just to hit balls and leave, I would never buy equipment or merchandise there because that would mean having to interact with he or his colleagues and I don't need that. The range is nice and the chipping greens are a nice feature. I have tried to use the putting green on 3 different occasions at different times of the year. Each time I hit two or three puts and the green is so bumpy that I decide that it will actually hurt my game ( and that is hard to do) rather than help it and I move on to go hit some chips or use the range itself. Enjoy the range but get in and out of the pro shop. um trailer as fast as you can!
I will give this place 1 star , today is 7/24/2016, I played in a $600 PPC main event tournament and lost a poker hand which I rightfully won and a bad call by management reversed my decision and I got knocked out of my tournament. Pocket AA vs KQo with Kc, board was 3 clubs and 2 spades and a player at the table who was not in the hand after the chips were pushed to me said that 4 clubs were on the board giving my opponent a flush after 3 others at the table agreed with me saying that there were 3 clubs and 2 spades. The management did a review showed a blurry picture image saying there were 4 clubs and told me I was out of the tournament after the pot was already pushed to me. I was given a bad call in a 2-5 NL cash game which I lost $300 before due to a bad decision by management before and I left this place for months before I went back, trying to forgive and give this establishment another chance, but today I lost the potential to win $20,000.00 plus and Aruba package due to bad management. I will never again step foot in this establishment and I urge anyone who plays whether it is for recreation or professionally NOT to go to the Silks Poker Room
The poker atmosphere was great except for the current manager of the toom, Jason. He was extremely rude making fun of myself, on how long it took myself to stack up sll my chips after a nice pot, because he immediately moved me Nasty Nasty
Great local race track. Simulcast only in the summer but well run in a nice room. Not much food selection in summer. Winter has live racing and better food selection. Easy in and out.
