  • Lowry Park is a small park located across the street from the zoo, fun place if the kids want to run around or play. Definitely a spot to take kids with lots of energy!  more »
  • Nice zoo. Lots of animals from lions to birds. Much of the walking trail is tree covered. Has many special exhibits throughout the year.  more »
  • We like the zoo! There are both outdoor and indoor areas but remember you are in Florida if it is a hot day!  more »

  • Great family park. Three playgrounds for the kiddies, across from zoo, lots of picnic tables and areas, boating ramp and boardwalk and lots of area just for a walk. Awesome for parties and they now have a water taxi that's a boat and it carries you along Hillsborough river!
  • Loads of space and three great parks. They also have paved trails. Great for bike riding.
  • Excellent zoo though admission price is slightly high IMO. Nice variety of animals all in humane enclosures. Great place to take the kids. Plenty of places to eat in the park and beautiful picnic grounds surrounding if you want to bring your own food (which I would suggest if you have any dietary restrictions, Kosher, Halal, Vegan etc...). A Tampa tradition for well over 50 yrs.
  • An excellent city-owned park with accommodations for all walks of life as well as very cool zoo and a public boat ramp to the Hillsborough River
  • Great park with lots of trees and good shade! There's a little trail you can walk on, many benches (great place for a picnic) and a huge pavilion with lots of seating. There's two playground areas with lots for the kids to do and seating nearby so I can actually sit close by and watch them play. It is an older playground but everything is in great working and safe condition. *****
