  • We had a great time walking along the boardwalk and viewing all the nature that Florida has to offer. Lots of picnicking places and all types of walking trails.  more »
  • Read the reviews on Trip Advisor on "things to do" in the Tampa area. We have no interest in amusement parks so we followed the reviews of this lovely area in the city. It lived up to our expectations...  more »
  • Lots to see when walking through theatre trails. Flowers, greens, animals, birds, butterflies, all of God's creatures!  more »

  • Awesome park for nature. The boardwalk takes you right next to many types of birds and aquatic life. Also saw a swimming alligator in the lake, as well as a fairly large snake. There's a tall lookout tower where you can spot a large bird nest (eagle maybe?) near the top of a nearby tree. Great for families.
  • So many great Trails through the woods, and a board walk along the river. I love the tower! You can see three different areas of the river, and so many kinds of birds like Ospreys bald eagles all kinds of cranes and storks and Ibis, Turtles sunning themselves, and occasional alligator and some beautiful native snakes and lizards. My daughter has had her birthday party there four times in her life and they were always a hit. There are tons of separate playgrounds, and pavilions with built-in barbecues. It's a great place to just go for a walk, ride your bike, or have a get together with family and friends, while experiencing the beauty of Florida's own flora and fauna!
  • Boardwalks & trails very well maintained. Clean restrooms. Lots of beautiful scenery and opportunities to see Florida wildlife. We were very impressed with this gem of a nature park! Would have liked to see trail maps available and maybe some directional markers as we got turned around a bit.
  • If you have your own kayak or SUP it's not the best place to launch from. The walk is bit of a trek, but not super terrible. Once out on the water heading towards 75 was so beautiful. Definitely one of my favorite paddling spots so far! Even the alligators made the trip fun & exciting from my board. 12 footer I saw did get my heart racing! Happy trekking!
  • Nowhere but Florida Tampa Bay area can you find such a park with so much nature right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Major road in the city turn off into the parking lot of the park and you're in a different world get out of the car and start walking soon you won't hear traffic of any sort and you start to hear nature, quiet peace serenity overlapped with birds calling of all types fish jumping frogs chirping and then of course Gators living peacefully amongst the rest. Don't stay too long you'll forget where you're at and never want to go back on into Tampa.
