I've been to many others and I would not say that this is the best but I find interesting though many signs of abandonment are. a Council; If you go down the kitchen area can find some veteran and converse with the. a magnificent experience. Recommended to include it in a visit to Tampa

  • Unfortunately we saw the ship only from our ship, which was quite remarkable. Had we had more time, would have been a must, from very remarkably from a distance

  • If you have any interest in history I highly recommend this. We went with three adults and 5 kids aged 0 to 9, and everyone loved it. It's a self-guided tour so you can take as much or as little time as you want. We spent about 2 hours, and saw everything. It was super cool, and very reasonably priced.
  • The S.S. American Victory ship was so interesting. It's a cargo ship that was used during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. It is huge! For a small admission price ($10), you can tour the ship and support the museum. The day we visited there were some nice breezes, but I can imagine it is unbearably hot in the middle of summer. It was eye-opening to see the inside of the ship and the cargo holding areas. It's a decent workout to walk the decks, and climb up and down all the ladders. It's fascinating to see what life on the ship was like for the brave people who served on it. There are some beautiful views of Tampa's harbor. There is plenty of nearby parking. The ship a nice addition to a trip to the Columbia Cafe and History Museum or Aquarium.
  • Such great history on this ship. I feel good donating to help fix it up, and love that all the work is done by volunteers. We did a photo shoot onboard with special permission, it made a great backdrop.
  • I took a self guided tour and had the entire ship to myself! What a cool experience! The big band music over the intercom was super cool. If you are in the area it is the best $10 you can spend!
  • I really enjoyed my visit. There are a lot of nice displays and other information throughout the ship. I gained a greater appreciation for the men and women who served our country during and after World War II. The 1950s music playing softly over the sound system was a nice touch. I found myself wondering about all of the people that lived and worked on the ship through the years, and all of the places that it had been. My time here was time well spent. I highly recommend it.
