Talladega Superspeedway, formerly known as Alabama International Motor Speedway, is a motorsports complex located north of Talladega, Alabama. It is located on the former Anniston Air Force Base in the small city of Lincoln. A tri-oval, the track was constructed in 1969 by the International Speedway Corporation, a business controlled by the France Family. Talladega is most known for its steep banking and the unique location of the start/finish line – located just past the exit to pit road. The track currently hosts NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series. Talladega is the longest NASCAR oval with a length of 2.66mi tri-oval like the Daytona International Speedway, which is a 2.5mi. At its peak, Talladega had a seating capacity of 175,000 spectators, although its current capacity is 80,000 seats.

  • We toured the track last weekend and really enjoyed it. The tour guide was very good, he had a lot of great information to share. The most amazing part is seeing how high the banking is in the turns. ...  more »

  • How could you not, the infield is the place to be. Best views, best party, awesome racing&beautiful blue skies! One new thing though I don't think they should make you pay more to buy a pass to drive out and re-enter the infield when you already have a spot. You've already paid, that's not right.
  • You can tell this wasn't their first rodeo. The event ran smoothly, and everything went as planned. They even blocked off the roads so they could turn a six lane highway into a one way to ease traffic at the end of the event. My only gripe was that the venders inside the facility did not take credit/debit.
  • Faassstttt Biggest Race Track America Has To Offer Anyone Nut's Enough To Race On This Ultra Super Speedway! !!! Plymouth Super Bees Were Banned Racing On Talladega. Cars Went Way Too Fast Early 70's Some Survive Today. Take the Family or Just Go Yourself Y'all Won't Be Disappointed- Enjoy !
  • One of the absolute best tracks. If you like it when the cars go FAST, then this is the place. I've met so many people from a variety of places. Some folks save up and come here even though there's a track near them. I was disappointed with the merchandise area for the May 2017 race. I'm not sure if the change was NASCAR or Talladega, but shame on whoever!!!! If it's your call Dega, then bring the merchandise back!!!!! Good food, good drinks, and good times!!!!!
  • Awesome race experience. Friendly staff and guests. Great family atmosphere. Just generally a lot of fun! We come for the Spring race every year and love it.
