Talladega Superspeedway, formerly known as Alabama International Motor Speedway, is a motorsports complex located north of Talladega, Alabama. It is located on the former Anniston Air Force Base in the small city of Lincoln. A tri-oval, the track was constructed in 1969 by the International Speedway Corporation, a business controlled by the France Family. Talladega is most known for its steep banking and the unique location of the start/finish line – located just past the exit to pit road. The track currently hosts NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series. Talladega is the longest NASCAR oval with a length of 2.66mi tri-oval like the Daytona International Speedway, which is a 2.5mi. At its peak, Talladega had a seating capacity of 175,000 spectators, although its current capacity is 80,000 seats.

  • We have been to other NASCAR tracks and had a ride on the track, not just the apron, and at speed, as much as 90 mph. Driver was very informative, if you did not ask a question. Then he did not know w...  read more »
  • Great track! I really enjoy going to this track. The weather is usually warm and the prices are great. Sometimes they have good concerts and the fan zones have driver autographs for free and you have ...  read more »
  • We have been on the Daytona track tour, this one was good a lot cheaper not as commercialized as Daytona.A shame nowhere to buy a sticker.
  • As much as I love Daytona Talladega is the best "Super Speedway" & the camping experience across from the track is the best! Daytona is a very close 2nd but you can't beat Dega! Definitely worth adding to your bucket list.
  • King of NASCAR in my opinion! Hugh infield, free parking areas, lively crowds!! Always have 1st class concerts and special events for whole family!!
  • Been to a handful of races here and have had a blast each time. If u haven't been i suggest stay in the camp grounds the night before the big race. its a big party with a bunch of nascar fans and southerners with a lil bit of mardi gra thrown in. it dont get better then that!!
  • RV parking area has lots of service running such as trash pick up, sewage pump trucks, water trucks, ice and more. The security staff is courteous and professional and don't act like you're a criminal every time you get stopped at a checkpoint.
  • Great track! Probably not a good first time experience I wouldn't say. Go to a short track like Martinsville, Bristol or Richmond first. The atmosphere outside the track at Talladega is electric...I almost just stayed outside the track and partied with all the good people. Had a great time both times I went!
