  • Good place to visit while in Tahoe City. Rich local history, Olympic skies, dresses upstairs. First floor American Indian artifacts.  more »
  • What a beautiful venue- attended a family wedding there. Spectacular views of lake. Clean bathrooms! Well worth a visit.  more »
  • California Indian baskets are simply spectacular, and this little museum has a stellar collection. You don't have to be a passionate basketry enthusiast (I am not) to appreciate these as intricate...  more »

  • Visited Fanny Bridge and the dam yesterday. A couple of the dam gates were open and lots of water was flowing into the Truckee River. There were huge Trout swimming on the downstream side of the dam. On the lakeside there was a flock of Canadian Geese. Very picturesque and interesting. You can actually walk across the top of the dam. Dam goes across the only outlet out of Lake Tahoe.
  • Its surreal, serene and historic. Family oriented place. Everyone should come see this place. Don't forget to bring the camerasđŸ˜‰
  • If you want to see everything about 1960 Winter Olympics this is the place to go. They have a mixture of other items to see as well. There's a great place out behind overlooking the lake where you can sit and eat or fish. The geese are plentiful.
  • Great museum of local history. Recommended for kids too. Beautiful nature spot surrounding great for picnic or fishing.
  • Great little museum. Wonderful display of native American baskets from the late 1800's and into the 1900's. Historical artifacts and displays chronicling Tahoe history and development are interesting. Upstairs is a display of 1960 Winter Olympics. Cute little gift shop with DIY basket kits.
