Thanks to Charles and Annie Wright for deeding this property to the city around 120 years ago. Many varieties of indigenous and imported old growth trees have had a century to mature and make this par...  more »

We visited Wright Park on a recent Sunday. There were lots of food trucks and live music. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the park. Lots of cute dogs on leashes. My favorite aspect of the park is its g...  more »

The conservatory was alive with tropical flowers and plants on a "dark and stormy day". Beautiful gem in the stadium district.  more »

Nice playground but a lot of homeless people. While I absolutely have no problem with homeless people, it's hard to feel safe with kids when random people are asking for money and a man tried to give candy to one of my kids. That aside, the playground is nice and there's also a spray/water park. There's also benches and tables throughout the park. You can also spot turtles and ducks in the pond.

Wright Park has gyms, poke stops and is well lit at night for all you poke vamps out there. For the normal people with relationships. *excluded :( Sigh! Only so far an Orc can go in human land, but enough about me. Trails upon running trails, restrooms and fields of green. Bring your lady or sir on down to Wright park. You won't regret it or you will. Don't judge me. :)

Great little park with swings and a small spray pad. Trees surround the playground so there is plenty of shade in the afternoon sun. Restrooms are near the play structure and there are benches for sitting as well as eating. The ground material under swings is super soft and there are 3 baby swings. Near the playground is a pond with a bridge and plenty of places to walk. This park is located across the street from the hospital and has a reputation with the locals as not being the safest place to hang out after dark. There are no gates and the park is surrounded by busy streets, so keep the Littles close.

Beautiful historic park with all kinds of different plants and huge trees. Nice path for walking/jogging. There's a small pond the middle of the park for bird watching and a very nice playground with spray park. Gorgeous conservatory in the park that's definitely worth stopping by. Bocce ball court there too.

This park has a lot of open green space, trails for running and walking, and various recreational activities, including basketball, lawn bowling, and a large playground with a seasonal splash park. All the trees in the park have plaques which describe the species, origin, and planting date. There is a large homeless population during the day and group travel is recommended after dark.
