  • My kids (2 and 4) had a blast at this museum. Go and support this gem in the community. They work on a pay what you can system so no one gets denied. So many activities for the kids!  more »

  • We came on New Year's Eve and were blown away! The employees are helpful, friendly, and keep the whole location neat and clean. We've been to other Children's Museums that are completely destroyed by the end of the day, this was an hour before closing and it was spotless, organized, and full of happy kids and parents. I LOVED the exhibits. It was NYE, and they even had a small dance party with music and glowing toys for kids to celebrate New Year's. The tool shop area is very well stocked and our kids loved it; it was hard to tear them away from the flying ship, though! This museum is small, but so full of well-laid-out exhibits that we'll return here any chance we get. Thank you, Tacoma Children's Museum! We'll be back!
  • Wonderful children's museum for kids younger than 6. A nice combination of physical, art, and science activities. My four-year-old was happily busy for nearly three hours, but my eight-year-old would have been too big to play safely with the smaller kids and would have gotten bored quickly. The pay-what-you-can entrance fee is amazing considering the quality of the activity areas, costumes, and craft supplies. No food available, but a small area is available for eating outside the exhibits if you bring food.
  • My 4 year old niece loved her time here and our whole family was impressed with how much ingenuity it must have taken to put everything together. There are lots of ways to explore physics, mechanics, and structures all while playing. There is an excellent area for art and STEM projects where kids can build with real hammers, nails, screws, and screwdrivers. They run by donations so it was also affordable for our entire family to go have a good time, whereas the Seattle Children's Museum is cost-prohibitive in that regard.
  • Great place to bring the kids. It can be loud and really busy so if you have multiple kids having extra hands is really nice. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and easy to navigate.
  • Small local children's museum. Hasn't changed much, if not at all, over the last year. My kid liked it, so I liked it. Happy kid, happy life!
