  • I attended a child's birthday party there; the party room was clean, well equipped and staffed. The truly amazing part of the day was the interactive play rooms. Water play, painting engineering and i...  read more »

  • This is not a big facility, but seems to keep all of the children busy, all the time with few waiting or lines. Inexpensive membership and an enjoyable adventure for toddlers, tots and pre-schoolers.
  • My daughter loves it here. For a smaller children's museum, it has a good selection of activities and all of the toys and materials are in great condition. Plus, the staff and volunteers are very friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy working there. We have been to several children's museums in WA and other states and so far this is our favorite, because of the quality (if not necessarily quantity) of offerings and great staff and volunteers.
  • Took my 3 and 2 year old here and they loved it! My little girl didn't want to leave the little kitchen play area and my son was having so much fun with the water! Totally recommend for smaller kids, since I think bigger kids do get bored fast, but definitely worth the drive for me :D also, it's free (or donate what you can) and personally I like to give at least $10 dollars every time I go, I feel like it's the right thing to do since this place is clean and the staff is nice. Worth checking out if your kids are on the smaller (in age) side.
  • What a great place! They have so many fun things for the kids to enjoy as well as the adults. Also gave me a few great ideas for things to do with them at home. They have a water area where kids put on aprons to play while also learning about water. The art room was fun and we especially enjoyed the giant wall vacuum thingy that sucked up scarved that the kids put in and blew them out in different spots with a gust of air following. Lots of fun for the whole family!
  • Been coming here for years! Both of my children absolutely love it. So many different stations and activity areas and the staff keep it interesting by changing them up often as well. Everything is absolutely amazing about this place and the fact that it's pay by donation is just the cherry on the top. Great place for everyone!
  • It's great that it's cheap - in fact there is no fee. You pay by donation. As much or as little as you think it's worth. There are some fun things for kids to do. They can paint, draw, play on multiple indoor play structures, play with water (not IN the water), etc. It's downtown so you can easily park at the Tacoma dome parking garage and take the rail.
